Alyson Publications, Spinsters Ink, Cleis Press, Firebrand, New Victoria Press, Naiad Press, and others specialized in GLBT literature for decades, and Renaissance eBooks, Peanut Press, and other pioneering digital publishers did accept GLBT material, but not exclusively. This isn't a knock on Torquere Press, who are fantastic and definitely were super-important in being a GLBT outlet in the world of digital romance publishing! It's just some of the above makes it sound like "Torquere was the first GLBT publisher" and that's simply not accurate.
