What's New This Week

Hello everyone, big exciting things happening in my house this week. My daughter is going to her first high school dance. It's Homecoming week and she and her girlfriends are all planning to go together. Homecoming here is very different then from where I grew up, for one the only people wearing semi-formal clothes were the girls nominated for Homecoming Queen, and it took place right after the football game. It is much more of an event here, and I am hoping she actually wears the dress bought for the occasion this time or I will probably lose my mind.

Here is a small sampling of new releases this week. One of them is a book that I pre-purchased because I have fallen in love with the world that Thea Harrison has created and the character's she writes about and the others just piqued my interest.

Serpent's Kiss, Thea Harrison, Berkley
Recently, Vampire Queen Carling's power has become erratic, forcing her followers to flee. Wyr sentinel Rune is drawn to the ailing Queen and decides to help find a cure for the serpent's kiss-the vampyric disease that's killing her. With their desire for each other escalating they will have to rely on each other if they have any hope of surviving the serpent's kiss...

Belong to Me, Shayla Black, Berkley Heat
When FBI analyst Tara Jacobs's fellow agent and best friend goes missing while investigating a sex ring, Tara goes undercover as a submissive in a BDSM club. But no man can top a woman like Tara-until a dangerous Dom takes control of the scene and sets her heart racing. Too bad he's also the man who stole her innocence years ago-and one to whom she'll never submit. But Navy SEAL Logan Edgington knows he alone can protect her-and this time he'll never let her go...

Bayou's End, Lynn Lorenz, Loose Id
Peter Graham’s pack threw him out when they discovered he was gay. Ever since then, Peter’s been adrift. Denying his wolf and being the boy toy of a string of older men is all Peter knows. But when his lover brings another man to their bed, and that man abuses Peter, there’s nothing left for Peter but to run, all the way back to St. Jerome, a small town on the edge of the bayou, where he once painted. He meets Billy Trosclair, a deputy and a werewolf, and discovers the town’s secret -- the Rougaroux wolf pack. They have a gay man as their alpha who is mated to a gay man. To Peter this looks like home, but he’s not the type of man either Billy or the pack would want.
Not everyone in the pack is happy about the inclusion of gay werewolves, and Peter joining the pack is seen by some as a threat. Can Billy keep his mate safe until he claims Peter in front of the pack?

All Jacked Up, Desiree Holt, Total-E-Bound
On his fortieth birthday Jack Manning had his own private pity party until a pixie showed up and he was soon "all jacked up".
Jack Manning had carried an image with him all of his adult life of the woman he planned to marry. She’d be every man’s ideal-slender with masses of blonde curls and sapphire blue eyes.
Darcy O’Connor has been the odd-girl-out all her life. Barely five feet tall, she wears outrageous clothes, styles her short black hair in spikes and has developed a smart mouth to cover her insecurities.
When she walks into Eli’s, the favoured neighbourhood hangout, and meets Jack on his birthday, it’s like a collision of the planets. Instantly they rub each other the wrong way. But very hot sex keeps drawing them together.
Will they burn each other out before they realise what their feelings really are?
