REVIEW

Lara Adrian is a GO TO AUTHOR for me. Usually its paranormal romance, but I just had to check out a contemporary romance by one of my favorite authors. And I was most definitely glad I did.

Adrian's signature descriptive style comes out strong in For 100 Days. I fell right into the world she created - the secrets and lies, the steamy chemistry between the main characters, the sexy enigmatic hero, the strong independent heroine, the intrigue and everything that leads up to the cliffhanger ending.

What starts out as just sex turns into so much more but there's still a lot more of the story to come... I can't wait for the next book! This was 100 days of pleasure but the next sounds like 100 Nights of Revenge. I enjoyed the narration so much, I'll be waiting to listen to the next one on audio too.

A spanky sexy collection of Sci-fi romance novellas. I've been excited about this genre since reading Cara Bristol's Sci-fi romance Breeder so I was so happy to discover this anthology. While some stories were better than others, they all interested me and had me checking the authors out on Goodreads to add to my TBR list. This anthology was a great read.

This installment picks up where the first leaves off, with Riley trying to decide if moving in with Thorne is the best decision and with Thorne trying to convince Riley in any way he can. And this is where all of the drama starts. With strong reactions and feelings on both sides, if it wasn't for the sex, I don't think these two would agree on much.

But is sex enough to build a lasting, loving relationship?  With hurt feelings and meddling friends and family this book takes you on their journey to finding balance.

The Finn Factor is a unique series, in that it crosses several genre lines. It's a contemporary series about a working class Irish family that has something for everyone. It's got m/m, m/f, m/m/f  with some kink thrown in to keep it spicy. But at their core, they're stories about family and love. The character development is strong and story lines are fast paced and sexy as hell. The author does a great job of balancing new characters and old story lines so the overall story arc is fluid. This series hits all of my buttons with interesting characters, humor, realistic family dynamics and melt your face off love scenes.

If you have not picked up a book in this series, go out and do it NOW! I promise you won't regret it.

1. Where did the idea for the Finn series come from? It was pretty organic. First I saw a scene with Owen and Jeremy in my head. It definitely got my attention. I wasn't planning on writing a contemporary m/m at the time. I had deadlines. But it was so clear I had to start writing it. Once I did I couldn't stop. As I wrote, I saw the Finn family through Jeremy's eyes and I wanted to know more about these people who were so important to him. I wanted to find out what was going on between Tasha and Stephen. I was curious. *wink* So the series was born.


2. Was it always meant to be multi-genre? Well it had to be for me. Yes, there is a lot of m/m (the Finns are a very open-minded family) but I have to be true to who they are and what they want as individual characters. Wherever they take me is where I'm going, though I know this has caused a little bit of contention with readers who normally only read a particular genre. But if you love the family as much as I do, you want to know what happens to everyone...I hope lol


3. Which character gave you the most trouble? They all give me a little. Except for Owen. He's easy and we all know it.


4. Is there a character that is talking to you now, but it's not time for their story? Solomon the Younger. I want to find out more about him.


5. Will there be more babies? With this family? The odds are definitely good.


6. What's up next? Finn Again, where we'll revisit everyone: Owen and Jeremy, Tasha and Stephen, Brady and Ken and Little Finn, Declan and Trick as well as finally get a chance to participate in a Curious Wedding after that... Well, Seamus was the plan but he's currently battling Rory for that honor (Rory really wants to skip ahead). So either Fearless or Shameless.



7. Please tell me there are plans for Finn Factor #20? LOL Well at this point I'm only sure of 12...but you never know.

Alpha is Amazing! So freaking hot and equally sweet in certain moments, the tension boils off the pages. The chemistry between Zane and Aria is undeniable. The story line is just so tight, every scene mattered and played into the next. I couldn't put it down because I needed to know the truth behind their pasts. I felt like a Voyeur listening to ROPED #Audiobook @SJDPeterson #Review @Dreamspinners

SJD Peterson changed things up with her newest addition to the Guards of Folsom series. Roped (Guards of Folsom #4) takes us far away from NYC to trace the beginnings of a very different -but no less special- relationship. The author proved that there can be no stereotype to the men in LGBT romance. This book gave me shivers because it was the ultimate of guilty indulgences. Written so well and narrated so deliciously, I nearly felt like a voyeur!

Damian's Discipline (Collars and Cuffs #5) by K.C. Wells & Parker Williams is a perfect addition to the series. Giving Jeff an HEA gives me warm fuzzies since when we first met him in an earlier book, he didn't leave a great impression. Then connect him with the well-intentioned Damian who readers have only had glimpses of in previous books and together, they are wonderful.

A Dance with Domination (Collars and Cuffs #4) by K.C. Wells introduces a unique character that I really enjoyed. Andrew is unlike any Dom I've ever read about, and his developing relationship with Gareth is tender. The flow is smooth, the plot is different from the others in the series, and the characters most engaging. This is my favorite book in the series so far.

Sometimes I get the feeling I'm being instructed in BDSM in this series but then the authors quickly snap back into the relationship building. Great characters feel like family, and while Ben took awhile to win me over, in the end everything was beautiful.

Kenner consistently creates stories that entice your inner erotic goddess. On My Knees continues the spin-off series that began with the Stark Trilogy. The heat remains scorching as Jackson and Sylvia work towards their HEA. Thier connection is both deeply intimate and sensual - sex, specifically submission, plays a large role in their healing. It's an intensely beautiful relationship that Kenner creates right before the reader's eye. You do not want to miss this series. On My Knees might be the most compelling yet.

The heavy problem underlying the event that brought these three together is padded with moments of tenderness. As always, Natasha presents the spanking lifestyle with reverence, displaying her understanding of the psychological undertones involved in such a relationship.

REVIEW
Captive Mine was delicious kinkery. Though not as dark as I expected, the sex was hot, hot, hot. Written in both first person (Lily) and third person (Lake), the style was unique and may be a result of the two writers collaborating. The characters are well developed and their interactions felt authentic.

The major disappointment is in the suspense. There was a disconnect for me with the reason Lily was Lake's captive at all. At first, he's her bodyguard but planning to double-cross her. Then he decides to protect her instead. To protect her, he needs her compliance which explains the D/s but when he should be planning the escape -maybe even doing the training he gives her towards the end all along, Lake has her locked in a room treating her as a sex slave. Then without explanation, he releases her just as the danger nears. It just felt like I was missing something.

Oh so tender and sweet, Tag Team is the tale of three men finding their HEA after all experiencing tremendous loss. Rig and Bobby, two partner Doms, meet Mason just after his previous Doms were killed in an auto accident. They're drawn together and the Doms commit to helping Mason. As the story slowly moves forward, the men grow naturally into a beautiful relationship.

It was also fun to visit with the other members of Guards of Folsom. The secondary characters are like family, and their unique personalities make each of them something special. If only this were a real place we could visit... hmm... now that's a fantasy worth contemplating on!

The narration was well done. While I suspect this story would be good in ebook or audio, I recommend it on audiobook if you don't have the chance/ time to sit down and read. Tag Team made a long road trip more enjoyable for me!

REVIEW
An Unlocked Heart audio book is a great listen. Alex and Leo's personalities rise from the storytelling, with the focus being on their development as a couple as they individually work through their own issues. Leo is just coming out of his funk after his sub died years ago when he meets Alex. As they flirt, readers also get to meet other secondary characters I'm sure we'll see in future books.

The two men are exactly what the other needs. Leo is established in the BDSM community and his experience allows him to be patient with newbie Alex. The gentleness in their interaction was sweet... and also hot. The slow evolution of their relationship feels authentic and by the end, I was satisfied with the journey.
