Can't wait to read #FinishLine (GearShark #5) by Author Cambria Hebert!
This is a full length novel. #FINISHLINE will be told in the POV of Hopper and Arrow with a special bonus section of Joey and Lorhaven. Also includes a BONUS interview with Trent and Drew!

Synopsis
Every race has a finish line.
Where you go after you cross it is what matters most.
And sometimes, that’s the most intriguing.
Here at GearShark, we’ve featured lots of drivers.
All of them are well acquainted with the finish line.
And as race fans, we’re well acquainted with cheering as they cross it.
What we aren’t privy to is riding shotgun, seeing where they drive once the race is over.
Our interviews barely scratch the surface,
offering just a glimpse of the men and women behind the wheel.
The discovery of vanished Motocross sensation Jayson Hamilton, who has been right under our noses for years, proves secrets abound.
It’s time to dig deep. Look beyond the racetrack at the drivers who continue to pique our interest. In addition to scoring an exclusive, all-access interview with the elusive Jayson Hamilton (his first and only since the death of his fellow racer and partner Matt Lewis),
we’ve caught up with some of our most popular featured men and women in the racing world.
Where are they now?
Who are they now?
What do these hot commodities do when they escape the spotlight?
Rumors of weddings, babies, and new tattoos swirl through the media on a weekly basis.
And though we’re headlining the hashtag #Finishline, we’re far from finished.
In fact, we’re just getting started.
This newest issue of GearShark is jam packed with everything you’ve been dying to know…
and it just might be our biggest page-turner yet.

#Review: Back Check @KellyJamieson #Hockey Romance @NetGalley

Back Check might just be the best in the series so far. With the whole gang involved, readers get to visit with old friends while watching as another hockey player gets taken down by love. Jamieson has infused more hockey time into the story too, but she doesn't lose the focus on romance. The newest couple will grab a hold of your heart. This is a great read!

BLURB
The so-bad-they’re-good alphas of hockey’s Chicago Aces are back in this emotionally charged novel of sex, love, and second chances from the bestselling author of Top Shelf and the Heller Brothers series.

Tanner Bennet hates weddings. They just remind him that he simply isn’t cut out for any kind of healthy, committed relationship—never has been, never will be. After getting rejected by the girl he thought was “the one” all those years ago, he made a huge mistake and married the wrong person. Now that the divorced heartbreaker has reluctantly agreed to be a groomsman for one of his NHL teammates, the last thing he expects is a chance at redemption with the one that got away.

After Marc Dupuis of the Chicago Aces hires wedding planner Katelyn Medford, she discovers that her big break comes with a twist: a reunion with her college sweetheart. The way she dumped Tanner still haunts her. Eight years—and three broken engagements—later, Katelyn knows she’ll never have that kind of innocent, wide-eyed passion again. Still, she and Tanner soon generate enough body heat to burn up the sheets. And even with Tanner’s career with the Aces up in the air, Katelyn’s wondering whether the time is right to let him in for real.

REVIEW

Opening each book in the Thunder Road series has been like opening a gift. The unforgettable characters and the message woven into the stories will stay with me for a long while. It's the best combination of MC Romance and Young Adult Angst.

I had been eagerly awaiting Violet's story since she first made an appearance in book one. I knew she'd have a powerful backstory but I was blown away by Chevy. I'd written him off as a simple jock whose only goal was to join the MC. Boy, was I wrong! His backstory was intricate and exposed him for the multi-dimensional person he truly was. These characters will stay with me for a long while.

The use of the Robert Frost poem, and it's connection to the characters, was well executed and added unexpected depth to the book. Don't underestimate this series -and particularly this book- because it has so much packed into its pages. And with a string to the overall story arc still out there, I just know there's more to come.

Absolutely adored this book. It's a MUST READ!

An Emotional @NetGalley Ultimate Indulgence #Review: HOLD MY BREATH @TheGingerScott

Fractions of seconds can do lots of damage. One decision can ruin lives. A blink can be tragic. And
loving a Hollister…can hurt like hell.

I would know.

They say the average person can hold their breath under water for two full minutes when pushed to the extremes. Will Hollister has been holding his for years. The oldest of two elite swimming brothers, Will was always a dominant force in the water. But in life, he preferred to let his younger brother Evan be the one to shine.

Evan got the girl, and Will…he got to bury all of the secrets. A brother’s burden, the weight of it all nearly left him to drown.

The daughter of two Olympians, my path was set the day my fingertips first touched water. My future was as crystal clear as the lane I dominated in the pool—swim hard, win big, love a Hollister.

My life with Evan burned bright. He gave me arms to come home to, and a smile that fooled the world into believing everything was perfect. But it was Will who pushed me. Will…who really knew me.

And when all of the pieces fell, it was Will who started to pick them up.

In the end, the only thing that matters are those few precious seconds—and what we decide to do while we still have them in our grasp.

REVIEW
It's no surprise anymore when I read a Ginger Scott book that I'm going to love it. But with each book, it's as if the author digs deeper and the story is more intense, more emotional, more "real" than I expected. Hold My Breath is a tightly woven story of a couple's ability to heal from tragedy and reach for success. There is absolutely nothing in the book that was wasted words - the pacing was spot on and the romance absolutely perfect with its smidge of angst, sweet memories and scorching heated moments.

I think I say this every time I read one of Scott's books but... this might be my favorite so far!

#REVIEW @NetGalley: Becoming A Legend @BooksBy_Sarah @JamieNOtis

From the author of Saving a Legend (“A deep and moving story about family, acceptance, and love.”—Katy Evans) comes another smoldering MMA romance featuring the Kavanagh brothers, the chiseled alpha males whose real legacy is love.

Kane Kavanagh has always had one goal: being the best mixed martial arts fighter alive. With the MMA National Championships in Las Vegas fast approaching, the man they call “Killer” has no intention of letting anyone or anything get in his way. Somehow, though, a feisty opponent has slipped beneath his guard—and stolen his heart. Fiery and passionate, Nora Hannigan is harder to pin down than any rival Kane has faced in the ring. And she isn't afraid to tell Kane that she wants nothing to do with him.

With her best friend about to marry into the Kavanagh family, Nora has been resisting Kane's shameless attempts at flirting for months. But after their undeniable chemistry finally takes over, leading to the hottest night of Nora's life, she's running scared. There's a lot about her life Kane doesn't know, and she won't be responsible for ending his career. Now Kane's out to prove that he's ready for a commitment by winning her heart—and he's never lost a fight.
PRAISE for the Kavanagh Legends series
“I loved this book. The romance gave me butterflies, the intimacy between the characters made me blush, and the drama made me hungry for more.”—Jamie Otis, reality television star, FYI's Married at First Sight and ABC's The Bachelor, on Breaking a Legend
REVIEW & RATING
The Kavanagh brothers are so very charming. Finally in book three and we get Kane's story. He was in the background for the first two books and my curiosity continued growing so I was thrilled to hear his story. And I love it more than I expected. Nora made the perfect partner for him. Their genuine interactions were both sweet and sexy. This book was good in both ebook in audiobook!

Scoring Chances SERIES #REVIEW @AvonGaleWrites #mmromance @Dreamspinners

Who loves hockey? Who loves men?
If you nodded to both these questions, then you will love Avon Gale's Scoring Chances series. On audio, it's even more delicious. I closed my eyes and could actually visualize game scenes and... you know... other scenes too. The quirky characters are charming and funny - not-so-perfect heroes are a hot commodity. My only complaint is that by book three, there wasn't as much distinction between the different couple's personalities. Still, it was a formula that worked so I can't complain much.

I liked the series so much. It a good read, I mean, listen.

Breakaway (Scoring Chances #1)
Drafted to play for the Jacksonville Sea Storm, an NHL affiliate, twenty-year-old Lane Courtnall’s future looks bright, apart from the awkwardness he feels as a gay man playing on a minor league hockey team. He's put his foot in his mouth a few times and alienated his teammates. Then, during a rivalry game, Lane throws off his gloves against Jared Shore, enforcer for the Savannah Renegades. It’s a strange way to begin a relationship.

Jared’s been playing minor league hockey for most of his career. He’s bisexual and doesn’t care if anyone knows. But he’s determined to avoid another love affair after the last one left him devastated. Out of nowhere a one-nighter with rookie Lane Courtnall gives him second thoughts. Lane reminds Jared why he loves the game and why love might be worth the risk. In turn, Jared hopes to show Lane how to be comfortable with himself on and off the ice. But they’re at different points in their careers, and both men will have to decide what they value most.

Save of the Game (Scoring Chances #2)
After last season’s heartbreaking loss to his hockey team’s archrival, Jacksonville Sea Storm goalie Riley Hunter is ready to let go of the past and focus on a winning season. His new roommate, Ethan Kennedy, is a loud New Yorker with a passion for social justice that matches his role as the team’s enforcer. The quieter Riley is attracted to Ethan and has no idea what to do about it.

Ethan has no hesitations. As fearless as his position demands, he rushes into things without much thought for the consequences.Though they eventually warm to their passionate new bond, it doesn’t come without complications. While trying to financially help Ethan, Riley must hide his family’s wealth so as not to hurt Ethan’s immense pride. For their relationship to work, Ethan will need to learn when to keep the gloves on and let someone help him—and Riley will have to learn it’s okay to let someone past his defenses.

Power Play (Scoring Chances #3)
A freak accident during the Stanley Cup Playoffs put an end to Max Ashford’s hockey career. Despite everything, Max gets back into the game he loves—only this time, behind the bench as an assistant coach of the Spartanburg Spitfires, the worst team in the entire league. But nothing prepares him for the shock when he learns the new head coach is Misha Samarin, the man who caused Max’s accident.

After spending years guilt ridden for his part in Max’s accident, Russian native Misha Samarin has no idea what to do when he’s confronted with Max’s presence. Max’s optimism plays havoc with Misha’s equilibrium—as does the fierce attraction that springs up between them.

Not only must they navigate Misha’s remorse and a past he’s spent a lifetime trying to forget, but also a sleazy GM who is determined to use their history as a marketing hook. But when an unwelcome visitor targets a player, Misha revisits his darkest days, and that might cost him and Max the beginning they’ve worked so hard to build.

Series #Review: Right and Wrong #GBLT series @LaneHayes3 @Dreamspinners

The Right and Wrong series is all right in my book. Lane Hayes crafted likable and quirky characters that readers can easily connect with and enjoy. While the series sticks with the same group of friends, each pairing is unique. Readers will fall in love with these men as they fall in love with eachother.

New Release! #REVIEW: Living With Regret @RiannCMiller

Living With Regret by Riann C. Miller is a beautiful love story with a completely unique premise of a second chance love story. Sometimes the simplest choice has the power to change your life.

Chase

Ten years ago, I turned a hard decision into a simple one. I allowed others to decide my future . . . then I lost the best thing that ever happened to me. I let go of the girl I loved in exchange for a life I was told I wanted.

Then one day I woke up with no recollection of my reality and instead I believed my life had turned out how I had once dared to imagine. Now everyone is waiting for me to remember the day I ruined my future as I struggle to recall a life without the person I so carelessly tossed away.

Somehow, I was gifted a second chance with the woman I love, and I’m going to fight like hell to keep her.

Jordan
Your brain has a funny way of convincing you what is real and what is not; even if your heart never lets you forget the truth. After Chase Adams broke my heart, my life moved forward, even though the light I once felt had extinguished. Then I received an unexpected phone call that changed everything.

Every day we make choices, but most of the time they don’t affect the rest of our lives. I wanted to love again. I wanted to trust the gift I was given, but every choice has consequences. Now I have to decide to let go of the past for the sake of my future. . . or risk living with regret.

Book #REVIEW: Point of No Return by Olivia Luck @AuthorLuck

Point of No Return

by Olivia Luck

I had it all: an adoring husband, supportive friends, thriving career, a homey condo in the city.
Amend that.
I had it all except for love from my family. But life was good because I had him. Max was everything I dreamed a husband could be and somehow he loved me just as wildly as I loved him.

Until one cruel night he was stolen from me.
Then I had nothing but a vicious battle ahead of me. It’s a struggle so treacherous, I’m not sure if I’ll make it out with my heart in tact. But on the other side of that brutal war waits the most wondrous prize.

Will I allow myself to move forward?

REVIEW: Point of No Return is a tender story of love after loss. Full of secondary characters, Violet and Cam are surrounded by family and friends that bring the story to life. And while at times the relationship evolves ever so slowly, the ending is sweet.

WARNING: This is part of a series which I recommend reading in order.

BOOK #REVIEW: Coach Love by Liz Crowe @beerwencha2

Coach Love (Love Brothers #2)
by Liz Crowe (Goodreads Author)

A Family Saga with humor, heat and heart--not to mention beer, bourbon and basketball!

The smoldering intensity of first love ~ the forbidden fantasy of temptation ~ the cold hard facts of real life.

When one man’s hopes are dashed apart in a split second after years spent chasing a dream, he returns home to Kentucky furious at the world and everyone around him.

Kieran Francesco is the middle son of the volatile, tight-knit Halloran-Love family. His role as peacemaker and the one true athlete is well established. He now faces life devoid of the sport he adores after a horrific, career-ending accident, which places him in a new and entirely uncomfortable position: that of the brother with no future.

Over the course of a few tumultuous months Kieran is plunged back into life at the center of the Love family, where he must cope with one self-destructive brother, one ill-timed reconnection to an old flame and a series of bad choices that land him in more trouble than he’d ever known existed.

REVIEW
Liz Crowe once again crafts a tangle of two love stories in one book. This time it's the peace-making middle child who is on the cusp of his HEA which is unexpectedly intertwined in another brother's journey to self-discovery. The entire Love family is present with their antics, making readers feel as if they're sitting amidst the family. But its the gradual reconnection between Kieran and Cara that grabs your heart.

Celebrate MLB Opening Day! #AmReading Game On @Collette_West #REVIEW

It's Opening Day!

Game On by Collette West

Pitching phenom Bruce "Jilly" Gillette has a hard time talking to women. His hulking presence of tattoos and muscles is what makes him an intimidating closer on the mound, yet off the field, he's painfully shy, uncomfortable in his own skin.

Desperate to revamp his loner image, the New York Kings hold a dream date contest, granting the lucky winner a night on the town with their surly reliever, doing whatever it takes to force Jilly out of his comfort zone.

Hailey Halpert enters the contest on a whim, looking for answers as to why her high school relationship with Jilly hit the skids. Now she’s a popular romance author writing under a pen name, and her reappearance in Jilly's life is no accident. It turns out that her novels are all about the sexy players on the Kings, and Jilly has no clue that he's about to become her new leading man.

REVIEW
The concept behind Game On hooked me... a baseball player in a dream date contest... how fun! Then the twist came when the winner was his high school sweetheart. Their story was complicated -with moments of romance and tenderness, then lies. Jilly was sweet. Hailey was not. I couldn't help thinking that what she'd done would've been a lot less dramatic if she'd just told him from the beginning. She had such little faith in him and he deserved more trust than that.

The baseball scenes were good -obviously the author knows her ball games- and added authenticity. Including women who both understood and enjoyed the sport was a welcome addition.

This is a recommended read for sport romance lovers.

NOTE: I should've done my research and read this in series order. There were a few instances where I wondered if I'd missed back stories of other secondary characters. So, my advice is this: Read (or listen) this series in order despite the books being referred to as 'companion books'.

Ndulgent #Review YOU AND EVERYTHING AFTER @TheGingerScott

You and Everything After (Falling #2)
by Ginger Scott

I’m that teenaged girl who has MS. You haven’t met me, but you’ve seen me around. You probably know my sister. We’re twins, and she’s the pretty one. Maybe you’ve heard about my reputation, how much I like to hook up at parties—how easy it is to get me in bed, get what you want, and forget about me after.

Forget what you think you know. I’m leaving that girl behind.

College is all about new beginnings. So from now on—I’m just Cass. And the rest…it isn’t written yet. And no one else gets to write my story for me.

--------

“Tyson Preeter doesn’t do can’t.”

That’s exactly what I want people to think when they see me. I am strong, invincible, confident, intelligent—arrogant. I’m the man who always finds a way around, over and through—until there’s nothing left. Since losing my ability to walk six years ago, I’ve relearned life. I don’t need sympathy. I don’t want charity. And I don’t do love.

It’s better this way, saves my disappointments for me, and me alone, and it saves my strength for everything I want.

But Cass Owens is about to wreck everything. She’s about to steal all of my strength away from me, because she needs it more. She’s about to break all of my rules, and break down all of my walls. She’s about to own me…completely.

And I’m about to let her.

REVIEW
I am a huge fan of Ginger Scott. Her skill in relating a story amazes me as each of her books is better than the last. I thought the first book in this series was wonderful but then this book topped it.

After meeting Ty and Cass in This Is Falling, everything about their idiosyncrasies becomes clear in You And Everything After. I adored their banter and melted into the connection the two shared. Ty was charming and his strength as a character with a disability paints a refreshing picture. Their love transcended -and was never overshadowed or defined- by both of their physical limitations. They were multidimensional characters who will touch the hearts of readers.

Both fun and flirty and sweet and sexy, I was completely taken in by this book.

#REVIEW This Is Falling is a Story of Hope @TheGingerScott #NewAdult

This is Falling (Falling #1) by Ginger Scott is a story of hope.

BLURB
First, I had to remember how to breathe. Then, I had to learn how to survive. Two years, three months and sixteen days had passed since I was the Rowe Stanton from before, since tragedy stole my youth and my heart went along with it.

When I left for college, I put a thousand miles between my future and my past. I’d made a choice—I was going to cross back to the other side, to live with the living. I just didn’t know how.

And then I met Nate Preeter.

An All-American baseball player, Nate wasn’t supposed to notice a ghost-of-a-girl like me. But he did. He shouldn’t want to know my name. But he did. And when he learned my secret and saw the scars it left behind, he was supposed to run. But he didn’t.

My heart was dead, and I was never supposed to belong to anyone. But Nate Preeter had me feeling, and he made me want to be his. He showed me everything I was missing.

And then he showed me how to fall.

*This is a standalone in a three-part series that will focus on different characters. Each book can be read on its own.

REVIEW
This is Falling is an incredibly heart-warming love story about two young people who just seemed to fit. Now, it wasn't so easy -the heroine had a lot to work through- but you just knew they were right for one another. It was refreshing that they weren't overly emotional while still the author kept it real.

Ginger Scott's direct writing style appeals to me (I've read everything she'd written), particularly her deep character development that gives readers the feeling of really knowing her characters. I felt every pain, every joy and each uncertainty Rowe experienced while I laughed at the interactions of Nate and Rowe and also his brother, Ty. Each of the four primary characters captured my heart.

The story was one of hope, and while I enjoyed it immensely, I see This Is Falling as a wonderful read for a young woman just stepping out on her own. The message of strength and healing is powerful.

Life is never as it seems and for Molly Meyers, life has been one hell of a roller coaster the past couple of years. When she thinks she finally has a handle on where her future is taking her, she gets a visit from her past which throws her entire life plan up in the air.

The question is can Molly handle the ups and downs this past relationship will bring her? Or does she need to keep the past where it belongs and not only try to save herself, but save her baby girl as well?

The gang is back and this time, no one is left untouched. Pain, confusion, frustration and disappointment are spread through the group as new and exciting adventures are welcomed and unexpected events occur. Catch up with the characters and their lives in Warning Track as the drama continues in the third installment of the Hot-Lanta series.

Excerpt
Molly stared at herself in the mirror. She looked like a completely different person. She’d cut her hair into a bob, just above her shoulders and added some highlights. The bags under her eyes that were starting to look like they might be permanent had slowly started to disappear and her complexion looked healthier. She hadn’t had a drink of alcohol since Jane had practically kicked her ass and she’d replaced cigarettes and drugs with exercise, something Molly had always balked at when Jane suggested it before, but she found running in the morning made her feel more invigorated throughout the day.

She talked to Jim and Marcia, Luke’s parents, and told them about the changes she’d made in her life and the steps she was taking to improve her life. They all decided that splitting time with Winnie during the week, until Molly got her feet fully back on the ground, was the best plan.

Molly got a job with her old school. The new principal, who was a teacher when Molly worked there before, always got along with Molly and when Molly approached her about finding a job, she was instantly offered a position that had just opened up, teaching fifth graders. The timing was perfect and Molly thought Luke must be looking out for her. She used to teach third graders, so she had to brush up on her fifth grade curriculum, but she had a while until the school year started back up in September.

She pretty much had everything back in her life, except for a man.

The Hot-Lanta series has been redesigned to make it even hotter!
