SIn & Tonic Blog Tour Day 5 @Rhys_Ford @dreamspinners

Time for Last Call at the bar. Well, at least for the Sinners boys. We’re at the final book in the series and I want to say thank you to everyone who’s been with me on this six year journey. Well almost seven for me but I started before the rest of you did.

But man, it’s been a ride.

When I first brought Miki to the page, I never imagined he’d go as far as he has. From the series being picked up and writing a second book to audiobooks then translations, this series has been a labour of both love and hate. I hate to see it go but I loved getting to the end.

Throughout this tour, I’ll be sharing vignettes / scenes I wanted to write about the characters but weren’t really pertinent to the books. Some were suggested by readers in my Facebook group, Coffee, Cats and Murder while others just felt right to include.

I hope you enjoy these slices of life with the characters from the Sinners series and join me on this final stop on this journey I started with Sinner’s Gin.

Oh… and before I forget, there’s a GIVEAWAY. You’ll be entering to win a $25 USD gift certificate to the online retailer of your choice! Make a comment and leave your email for a chance to win!

So, Last Call and I promise you’ll see bits and pieces of the boys as the years go by. We’ll at least drop in to say hello once in a while.

Much love to you all. And thank you…so very damned much.

Damie and Sionn

“You keep eating that crab that way and I am going to be arrested for doing unspeakable things to you in this restaurant,” Damien muttered across the table at Sionn. “And I swear to God, you suck your fingers clean one more time and there will be a reenactment of Cell Block Tango with you and my dick.”

“I’d like to see you try,” Sionn shot back, winking at him. Damien was outrageous and loved to push buttons, so it was always fun to tease him back, just to watch his expression. “Because if I’ve got to choose between you and five pounds of garlic-steamed Dungeness crab, you will wait and the crab will not. Although, both of you are pretty tasty with melted butter.”

Damien sat back, speechless.

The waiter who’d come up to refill their wine chortled briefly then got his expression under control. “Will there be anything else I can get you, sirs? Or would you like some privacy?”

“We’re fine. Thank you,” Sionn replied. “Although, we’ll probably want dessert later.”

The hotel’s restaurant was a five-star dining experience set on the cliffs of a breathtaking Southern California seashore. They checked in that afternoon, a spur of the moment trip down the coast in Damien’s Challenger that turned into a weekend retreat. A quick stop at a mall for spare clothes and a duffel bag turned into a brief autograph session with Damien and a bunch of musicians then a photo session with a pack of young girls and their fathers who’d stopped to see a movie.

Sionn amused himself by playing the rock star’s security guard, biting the inside of his cheek as one of the girls gasped when Damien pinched him on the ass.

“This is nice.” Damien stared out at the ocean, the restaurant’s lights soft on his handsome face. The sea was a bit choppy, a silvery weave of blue gilded by the full moon, its color reminding Sionn of Damien’s eyes. His lover turned to him, his mischievous grin turning soft and sensual. “I love Miki —”

“But?” Sionn interjected, picking up his one glass to sip at the fruity, smoky white.

“I love being able to spend time with just you. It’s nice.” Damien reached for a crab leg, studiously cracking it open and avoiding Sionn’s gaze. Emotions were often hard for Damien. Or at least showing them. As brash and outrageous as he could be, his heart was tender and easily broken, not something he showed most of the world. In fact, maybe it was a part of him he only shared with Sionn and Miki. “Me and Miki, that’s easy. The band gets little harder but the whole family? That’s like being in a storm of Irish and I’m drunk off of whiskey and the boat’s leaking.”

“I’d like to say they’re not that bad but I know my family,” he saluted Damien with his glass. “They’re that bad. Especially the younger ones. It’s like they have something to prove so they’re louder, more in-your-face.”

“You and I have it lucky. We’re solos…” Damie trailed off, his mind probably taking them to places he didn’t want to go. Shaking his head, he dug out a long strip of crab with a fork then dipped it into lemon-rich butter, his cocky smile back on his face. “To be honest, Sionn love, would you want to be Kane and Connor’s younger sibling?”

“I’m their cousin, remember? My Gran constantly compared me to them and even worse, she’d throw Quinn’s accomplishments in my face whenever I got it B in school.” Sionn chuckled under his breath, remembering his grandmother’s habitual disgust at his grades and the slight rivalry she had in her head between him and the Morgan boys. “Despite Brigid being a Finnegan, as far as she was concerned, they were a rival clan to be bested it every turn. She liked to fight. I think that something every Finnegan woman is born with. The lust for a sword in their hand and a battle to engage.”

“Brigid certainly does,” Damien pointed out. The table was small enough for him to reach out and take Sionn’s hand, tangling their fingers together as the wind carried the scent of salt and the night air towards them. “Don’t take this wrong but I’m glad she’s not your mother. There’s a lot of expectations there in that busy head of hers. It’s like she’s single-handedly trying to build a dynasty and we are pawns on her chessboard. I think if you were her kid, she’d be measuring our fingers for gold bands and picking out houses.”

Sionn shook his head, tightening his clasp on Damien’s hand. “She’s not that bad. They wanted me to live with them when I came over but my Gran wouldn’t let me go. And I loved her for wanting me so badly but she was old and set in her ways. Dealing with me was not something she planned on doing. Brigid was there to pick up the pieces and smooth down feathers, one warrior woman to another.

“I was angry back then. I felt kicked around and unwanted. Not to mention all of the crap going on in my head because of what the church told me. That I was wrong. That falling in love with another man was a sin.” He brought Damien’s hand up, kissing his lover’s fingers. “Brigid and Donal laid a path down for me to find a way out of my rage and my hurt. Because I love my Gran but all she did was feed it. So, I have a very soft spot in my heart for Aunt Brigid.”

“Your grandmother used to love chasing us off the pier. Sometimes I don’t know what she hated more, seagulls or musicians.” Damien took his hand back to wrestle with another piece of crab.

“In her eyes, you both were one and the same. Right up there with sewer rats.” Sionn passed Damien the bowl of lemon wedges. “You were always in the way, shit on everything, and made a lot of noise. She didn’t see much of a difference.”

“Would you think less of me if I told you every time we play down at Finnegan’s I get a secret thrill at thumbing my nose at your grandmother?”

“Honestly, D,” Sionn replied. “In a lot of ways, you’re exactly like her.”

“See if you get any tonight.” Damien wrinkled his nose. “Wait, no. Forget I said that. No sex for you also means no sex for me so since you know how selfish I am —”

“I know how you like to pretend you are but you’re really shitty liar, Damien Mitchell.” Sionn unraveled the warm, wet towels the waiter left behind. “How about if you finish up that crab of yours and we can go take a walk on the beach? And when we get back, we can have dessert in our room and then maybe like good hobbits, have second dessert between ourselves.”

“I am not a hobbit. For one, I’m not short,” Damien mumbled around his fingers, sucking them clean of crab and butter. “And between the two of us, I’d like to remind you, my foot was not the one Ryan’s hamster mistook for a sex doll.”

§

They’d taken off their shoes and buried their toes in the sand, sitting down on the beach’s gentle slope. The stairwell down the cliff was lit well enough to see but not so bright as to intrude upon the milky darkness of a romantic evening. The ocean kept them company, murmuring of far-off lands and midnight swims but neither one of them felt inclined to put any part of their bodies into cold water.

Sionn sat as close to Damien as he could, wrapping his arm around his lover’s waist. It took Damien a minute before he finally relaxed enough to lean into Sionn’s embrace. The tiny sigh from the musician’s parted lips was as sweet as the bit of chocolate they’d been given at the end of their meal.

“Do you think people wonder about how the two of us get on?” Damien murmured. “I was at the studio the other day and I saw a guy I used to know back before — before Sinner’s got big — and he asked me if I would hook up with him. I told him I was with you and he kinda laughed at me. I’m not sure what that says about me or maybe the two of us.”

“I think that says more about him than it says about you,” Sionn remarked. “In a lot of ways, you’re just as private as Miki. You just have a different kind of face you wear. You’re more sociable but it’s kind of a front, that rock star thing you play at. Your partner in crime just doesn’t know how to people as well as you do.”

“Miki is about as sociable as a rabid wolverine with sea urchins caught up its ass.” Damien snorted. “I just wanted you to know that… you and I? I don’t ever want to see my life without you in it. I love you so fucking much, it hurts sometimes to look at you. And I know I don’t say that a lot. Fuck, maybe I don’t say it at all but you mean as much to me as Miki does. Maybe… okay, in some ways even more. Because I don’t have to share you with anybody and I feel like you get everything that I am.”

“Yeah, I get you.” Sionn tangled his fingers into Damien’s hair, pulling his head back with a tug. Capturing Damien’s mouth in a fierce kiss, Sionn drank from his lover’s lips until he left Damien breathless. “I love you, D. I love the quiet you the nobody knows. And I love this fierce, argumentative warrior who will stand in front of a rushing horde to protect his broken brother. But most of all, I love the man who shares my bed and my heart and sometimes even lets me eat my own bacon. So, just so we’re clear, I will always be in your life, just like you’ll always be in my soul.”

Sin and Tonic by Rhys Ford
Sinners Series: Book Six

Miki St. John believed happy endings only existed in fairy tales until his life took a few unexpected turns… and now he’s found his own.

His best friend, Damien, is back from the dead, and their new band, Crossroads Gin, is soaring up the charts. Miki’s got a solid, loving partner named Kane Morgan—an Inspector with SFPD whose enormous Irish family has embraced him as one of their own—and his dog, Dude, at his side.

It’s a pity someone’s trying to kill him.

Old loyalties and even older grudges emerge from Chinatown’s murky, mysterious past, and Miki struggles to deal with his dead mother’s abandonment, her secrets, and her brutal murder while he’s hunted by an enigmatic killer who may have ties to her.

The case lands in Kane’s lap, and he and Miki are caught in a deadly game of cat-and-mouse. When Miki is forced to face his personal demons and the horrors of his childhood, only one thing is certain: the rock star and his cop are determined to fight for their future and survive the evils lurking in Miki’s past.

REVIEW

Opening each book in the Thunder Road series has been like opening a gift. The unforgettable characters and the message woven into the stories will stay with me for a long while. It's the best combination of MC Romance and Young Adult Angst.

I had been eagerly awaiting Violet's story since she first made an appearance in book one. I knew she'd have a powerful backstory but I was blown away by Chevy. I'd written him off as a simple jock whose only goal was to join the MC. Boy, was I wrong! His backstory was intricate and exposed him for the multi-dimensional person he truly was. These characters will stay with me for a long while.

The use of the Robert Frost poem, and it's connection to the characters, was well executed and added unexpected depth to the book. Don't underestimate this series -and particularly this book- because it has so much packed into its pages. And with a string to the overall story arc still out there, I just know there's more to come.

Absolutely adored this book. It's a MUST READ!

Q&A WITH KATIE MACALISTER:

1. ¬ What would readers be surprised to find out about you?

Goodness. So many things, I would expect. Perhaps the fact that I never went to high school (but did go to college). Or that I wanted to be an astrophysicist. Or maybe that I have a bunch of very slight touches of facial blindness, dyslexia, and synesthesia. All of which makes it an adventure when writing out a check that has amounts using 4 or S (both of which are red).

2. Who gave you the one piece of writing advice that sticks with you to this day?

Surprisingly, no one. I think the reason I write is because I’m a lifelong reader, and have been from a very early age. Reading so many good books gave me the desire to write and tell my own stories, and more or less served as an example of what to do and what not to do.

3. Is there one thing you have to have when writing?

I’ve always wanted to be one of those fancy people who had a lovely writing nook, with soft lights, an ergonomich chair perfectly molded to the body, soft music playing, and candles burning to provide just the right ambiance needed to put words on paper. The sad reality is that I have to write with dogs running around crashing into each other and furniture while flinging various toys and bones onto my lap to entice me to play, my cat trying to sit on my knees in her daily attempt to crush my kneecaps, the phone ringing at the most inopportune moments, and all the other chaos that life throws at us just when we want to be left alone. So no, I don’t have any writing rituals, but I dearly yearn for the day when I can have some.

4. How did you choose the names of your characters?

I love historical names, so I tend to hang out on census sites, looking up naming patterns for whatever era is pertinent. I also love ethnic names, so I maintain a list of names that I like and want to use one day. Also, I have a great book that lists every character in Shakespearean works, and pull from there a lot, too.

5. How has music played a role in your life and in your writing?

I love music, but don’t need it to write—however, I often have Pandora on simply to drown out some of the sounds of animals playing, other people doing things in my house, etc. Sometimes I set up soundtracks to go with a book, but other times I just pick a channel on Pandora and let it go. One of my go-to channels is House of the Rising Sun, which has all the old 1970s music on that I that I remember from my childhood.

6. When was the moment that you knew you had to be a writer?

When I turned in a non-fiction manuscript. I turned to a friend who was visiting at the time, and told her, “Now I’m going to write a novel.” Non-fiction was just so dull and limited, that I wanted to have some fun with a book, and write characters, and dialogue, and make people suffer. In a literary sense, that is.

7. Do you have any favorite book boyfriends of your own?

Oh, mercy, just line my books up and start reading off the hero names. I’ve said before that I write books for myself first, and that’s absolutely true. I love all of my heroes, and it’s only because publishers won’t let me write all the heroines as me that I bother with writing those dishy men females who are worthy of them.

Outside of my books, I was one of those girls who grew up with the hots for Sherlock Holmes. As an adult, I’ve been quite fond of several of Georgette Heyer heroes, particularly those who give in to their senses of humor (Sir Tristram from Talisman Ring, and Freddy Standen from Cotillion).

8. Where do you find inspiration for you writing? Do you use real people/places as a foundation?

I’ve always told myself stories, so writing is really just an extension of that. My inspiration is my muse, who I picture as a bon-bon eating diva who reclines of fainting couches a lot, waving a languid hand whenever she wants something, and basically ruling me with threats of going away on vacation if I attempt to work her too hard. I seldom use real people in my books, since the people in my head are much more flawed and thus suitable for me to torment, but I do use as many real locations as I possibly can. I rely heavily on past trips to Europe as the source of many locations, and those I haven’t visited I usually research by finding people who live there, and haunting online webcams, and photo galleries.

RATING:  FIVE (5!) Chocolate-Dipped Strawberries. For those of you not familiar with Katie MacAlister - run and grab her books.  They are funny, hilarious and seriously hawt,  Hello....dragons!

Finiding His Fantasy by @DeannaWadsworth #EXCERPT #CONTEST

Thank you for hosting me once again on Guilty Indulgence!
Today I brought along a special excerpt from my latest 1Night Stand book FINDING HIS FANTASY which will be out tomorrow and is available here:

All Romance | Amazon | BookStrand | Google Play | iBooks | Kobo | Smashwords

FINDING HIS FANTASY is my 4th 1NightStand book from Decadent Publishing. If you’re not familiar with the series, it is a multi-author series about a fantasy dating service run by a mysterious woman named Madame Eve. In this installment, Paul, a middle aged art gallery owner, and Josef, a Haitian bar owner in the Caribbean, have both hired the 1NightStand agency because they are tired of superficial relationships, and are looking for more. If you are as big a fan of 1NightStand books as I am, you may remember Paul from Wendy Burke’s story WISE MEN SAY. Wendy and I like to steal characters from each other. Josef had a cameo in my m/m story ACCIDENTALLY BEAUTIFUL.

Paul is one of those guys who says it like it is and is honest to a fault. Sometimes that honesty gets him into trouble, but he’s about to learn that the only way he will ever find his fantasy, is if he learns to share something that he’s never told a soul. Because when people hire Madame Eve from 1NightStand they don’t always get what they expect or how they expect it, but they do get what they need—love!

Here is a little excerpt of Paul talking to his BFF’s hubby Nick on the way to the airport. (Nick’s story can be found in the above mentioned het romance by Wendy Burke WISE MEN SAY)

Enjoy!
~Deanna
EXCERPT
“Since we’re in the mood for oversharing, well, I am anyways. Wanna know something that I haven’t told a soul?” Paul asked.
“Do I want to know?”
“I contacted Madame Eve and set up a date for myself while I’m on Grand Turk.”
“Wow!” Nick said. “That’s fantastic.”
“Fantastically expensive,” he huffed. The reminder of all the money he’d shelled out still made his asshole pucker. But after way too many cosmos one night, he’d started feeling sorry for himself. He hadn’t wanted to call Emmy and interrupt dinner with Nick—again—so instead he’d emailed Madame Eve. Emmy had moved on with her life and now it was Paul’s turn. A shimmer of excitement and fear danced up his spine.
At forty-eight years old in the gay world, his options had grown limited. He wanted someone sexually adventurous, young or at least young-acting. A man who liked art who could hold his own in an intellectual conversation, but not shallow like the men he worked around. Someone not after his money. All the guys his age were either taken or single for a reason. He refused to date a bear. Paul did not do body hair. At all. But he didn’t want to be the creeper hanging out at the club scoping the young twinks taking selfies, either.
God, he hoped Madame Eve could deliver….
“So how does 1Night Stand work?” Nick wanted to know.
“What do you mean? You hired Madame Eve once.”
“Yeah, but I was searching for someone specific. Do you have to fill out a questionnaire?”
He laughed. “Actually, yes, you do. And it’s super personal. Lots and lots of sex questions.”
And he had filled them all out with great detail, leaving nothing to chance. He didn’t want to fall victim to everybody’s first assumption about him—because he was on the flamboyant side, he must be a bottom. No way! Paul liked to be in control, in every aspect of his life, especially his love life. A man didn’t have to be “straight acting”—Gawd, he hated that phrase—to be a top. Wanting to live a little, however, he’d exaggerated somewhat on the form. He hadn’t exactly lied, but since he’d paid a fortune and this was supposed to be a fantasy, he’d filled out a fantasy request form.
What was the harm?
FINDING HIS FANTASY
Forty-eight-year-old art gallery owner Paul Strait loves the nightlife—wild parties, stiff cocktails, and even stiffer men! But his decadent lifestyle has grown lonely and now he’s looking for love. Some days it seems the perfect guy must be a fantasy so he enlists the help of Madame Eve. After all, a fantasy service like 1Night Stand should be able to deliver his fantasy man, right?

Josef Debrossé runs an exotic gay bar in the Caribbean known only to locals and select tourists. The many patrons coming in and out of his bar ensure he never has a shortage of lovers, but he’s grown tired of being just a vacation fling. He wants to be another man’s lover and partner, not a mere souvenir from the islands.

Lost in a dance of lust and allure, both men are thrilled with Madame Eve’s choice for them and have an instant, intense connection. Flirting over drinks quickly leads to the bedroom. But after their fiery lust has been quenched, the night goes from fantasy to reality without warning. Secrets and frightening pasts threaten to shatter the magical illusion of their perfect date. Will this budding romance survive in the face of reality?

Fitting In by @Silvia_Violet @audible_com #REVIEW #AUDIOBOOK #CONTEST #ULTIMATEINDULGENCE

Fitting In, Silvia Violet
Fitting In #1
Two cops walk into a bar. Mason, the bartender, waits for the punch line, because no way in hell are these ridiculously hot men real cops. They’re straight out of a cop-fetish fantasy. But he quickly learns that Jack and Gray are the real deal, and they want him in the worst way.

What starts as a night of hot, three-way sex becomes a lot more. The two cops fulfill Mason’s submissive fantasies, but they also meet a more basic need, comfort. They want to take care of Mason, to offer him unconditional friendship, but their concern for him unnerves Mason more than even the kinkiest sex.

To find happiness with his new partners, Mason must change his belief that love is as much a fantasy as a pair of gorgeous, handcuff-wielding cops landing in his bed.

Audiobook Length: 4 hours, 22 minutes

Categories: Contemporary, Light BDSM, M/M Romance, Ménage, M/M Romance

Listen to an excerpt from the audiobook here.

Excerpt:Two cops walked into a bar. Mason, the bartender, waited for the punch line, because no way in hell were these ridiculously hot men real cops. They were one hundred percent fantasy material. He hoped to hell they were strippers, and they’d be willing to do a private performance for him.
Their dark blue uniforms were snug, hugging their bodies in all the right places. The taller of the two men was big enough to bench-press Mason. His shirt looked like it might burst at the seams, and Mason hoped it would. Dark, wavy hair fell over his forehead and softened the hard lines of his face. His eyes were dark without being warm, just right for a cop.
His partner was shorter, about Mason’s own five foot eleven or so. He had buzz-cut dirty blond hair and blue eyes. He looked younger than his partner, like he hadn’t been out of the academy for long, but he was just as ridiculously hot as the bigger man. His looks were the all-American-boy type. He’d probably played baseball in school and won the heart of every girl he smiled at. He was a perfect counter to his partner’s rough, domineering appeal. They could play a scintillating game of good cop, bad cop, and Mason would love for them to play it with him.
If Mason were in a porno, the cops would cuff him and drag him to a back room where they would proceed to plow his ass until he couldn’t stand up. Sadly, this was real life. They were probably relentlessly straight and only here for a beer.
They headed toward the end of the bar by the register where there weren’t any customers during the midafternoon lull.
“What can I get for you, officers?” Mason asked.
The big one smiled. “Anything cold.”
The shorter man punched his partner’s arm. “Nothing. Thank you. We’re here on official business.”
The big man rolled his eyes. “Can’t I at least get a soda?”
“Fine. Two Cokes please.”
Mason was glad to have the simple task of scooping ice and pouring fountain drinks to distract himself for a few minutes. What official business would they have here? While the occasional fistfight broke out, most typically during the NCAA basketball tournament, Nathan’s Public House was hardly a hotbed of crime.
He picked up the drinks and faced them again, willing his hands to stop shaking. It wasn’t like he hadn’t served plenty of attractive men in the past. What was it about these two that had him so stirred up?
He set the drinks on the bar in front of them and watched as they both took a sip. His cheeks heated when he realized he was staring, openmouthed, at the flex of muscles in the bigger man’s throat as he swallowed.
Focus, Mason, focus. “So…um…what kind of business brings you here?”
The shorter man smiled and held out his hand. “I’m Officer Jack Abney, and this is my partner, Gray Sadler. We want to talk to the staff who were working last night when Gino’s was robbed in case anyone might have seen or heard something that will help with the investigation.”
Mason took Jack’s hand. His skin was softer than Mason expected, and he held Mason’s hand a few seconds longer than he needed to. “Um…I’m Mason Shields.”
“Nice to meet you, Mr. Shields,” Jack said, grinning.
REVIEW:
I have been listening to a lot of audio books lately and I have to say I am a big fan of the deep growly voice. Greg Boudreaux did a fabulous job with all three men, giving them each a distinctive voice that matched the personalities created by Ms. Violet. But I have to say that Grey was my favorite.  His deep, take control voice really made this audio version come to life for me and added yet another sensual level to the sex. Mason's vulnerabilities and insecurities come across spot on, and Jack is the glue that holds them all together.

I was a fan of the print version and now I am a bigger fan and I am so looking forward to the listening to the rest of the book in the series.

Series Sunday - The Finn Factor Series by @RG_Alexander #REVIEW #SERIESSUNDAY #SPOTLIGHT #AUTHORINTERVIEW #CONTEST

Welcome to the newest addition to the Guilty Indulgence Blog, Series Sunday. Each of the Ndulgent Bloggers is going to take a Sunday and talk about a series that we love. We will post covers, reviews, buy links and of course tell you what it is about that series that brings us back again and again. I'm Tyra, and I get to go first.

The Finn Factor is a unique series, in that it crosses several genre lines. It's a contemporary series about a working class Irish family that has something for everyone. It's got m/m, m/f, m/m/f  with some kink thrown in to keep it spicy. But at their core, they're stories about family and love. The character development is strong and story lines are fast paced and sexy as hell. The author does a great job of balancing new characters and old story lines so the overall story arc is fluid. This series hits all of my buttons with interesting characters, humor, realistic family dynamics and melt your face off love scenes.

If you have not picked up a book in this series, go out and do it NOW! I promise you won't regret it.

Ms. Alexander was kind enough to answer some questions for us and she is offering a $25.00 Amazon Gift Certificate to one commenter:

1. Where did the idea for the Finn series come from? It was pretty organic. First I saw a scene with Owen and Jeremy in my head. It definitely got my attention. I wasn't planning on writing a contemporary m/m at the time. I had deadlines. But it was so clear I had to start writing it. Once I did I couldn't stop. As I wrote, I saw the Finn family through Jeremy's eyes and I wanted to know more about these people who were so important to him. I wanted to find out what was going on between Tasha and Stephen. I was curious. *wink* So the series was born.

2. Was it always meant to be multi-genre? Well it had to be for me. Yes, there is a lot of m/m (the Finns are a very open-minded family) but I have to be true to who they are and what they want as individual characters. Wherever they take me is where I'm going, though I know this has caused a little bit of contention with readers who normally only read a particular genre. But if you love the family as much as I do, you want to know what happens to everyone...I hope lol

3. Which character gave you the most trouble? They all give me a little. Except for Owen. He's easy and we all know it.

4. Is there a character that is talking to you now, but it's not time for their story? Solomon the Younger. I want to find out more about him.

5. Will there be more babies? With this family? The odds are definitely good.

6. What's up next? Finn Again, where we'll revisit everyone: Owen and Jeremy, Tasha and Stephen, Brady and Ken and Little Finn, Declan and Trick as well as finally get a chance to participate in a Curious Wedding after that... Well, Seamus was the plan but he's currently battling Rory for that honor (Rory really wants to skip ahead). So either Fearless or Shameless.

7. Please tell me there are plans for Finn Factor #20? LOL Well at this point I'm only sure of 12...but you never know.

Curious - Finn Factor #1
Are you Curious?

Jeremy Porter is. Though the bisexual comic book artist has known Owen Finn for most of his life—long enough to know that he is terminally straight—he can’t help but imagine what things would be like if he weren’t.

Owen is far from vanilla—as a dominant in the local fetish community, he sees as much action as Jeremy does. Lately even more.

Since Jeremy isn’t into collars and Owen isn’t into men, it seems like his fantasies will remain just that forever…until one night when Owen gets curious.

Warning: Contains explicit m/m nookie. A lot of it. Very detailed. Two men getting kinky, talking dirty and doing the horizontal mambo. Are you reading this? Do you see them on the cover? Guy parts will touch. You have been warned.

Scandalous - Finn Factor #2
Will it be Scandalous?

If Natasha Rivera is involved, the answer is usually yes. The owner of The Twisted Tart bakery has never been shy about expressing her opinions or her desires. The only secret she ever kept had to do with her feelings for a certain Finn and the details of their unusual relationship.

When reformed bad boy Senator Stephen Finn asks her to join him for a week of political intrigue and kink, there’s no way she can say no. Nothing has changed. His star is still on the rise and she is still too wild to be tamed. Once they get their hands on each other they’re bound to cause a scandal…but it might just be worth it.

Recipe of Warning: Take one outspoken, sexually confident woman and a repressed former bad boy. Combine until sparks fly. Add voyeurism, exhibitionism, spanking, excessive quantities of explicit sex, a kinky house party and whatever pervertible you have on hand…thoroughly shake the mixture until your wrists hurt or your batteries run low. Mmmm. Yummy warning.

Dangerous - Finn Factor #3
Do you like it Dangerous?

Brady Finn has been a cop and a Marine, but he’s never been in a situation as dangerous as this one. Waking up naked in the bed of a man he’s wanted for months—with no memory of how he got there—was only the beginning.

Rope Dom Ken Tanaka knows kink isn’t Brady’s scene, but he still can’t resist the tall, redheaded Boy Scout. When their search for a missing person requires Brady to go above and beyond the call of duty, they’ll both do what needs to be done for the mission—and give in to the undeniable passion between them.

Will their explosive chemistry last once the job is over? Or will taking that chance be more dangerous than either man is willing to risk?

Warning: Explicit male/male sexy times. Voyeurism with a touch of noncon, role playing, rope. And, once again, very serious about the graphic gay sex. I’m not sure why you don’t believe me… Also? An Evil League of Evil! Good kink vs scary villain kink (you’ve been warned), Finn Club rules and the aftereffects of The Great Rumming of 2015. I SAID RUMMING. Dirty minds.

Ravenous - Finn Factor #4
Is it wrong to be this Ravenous?

When Jennifer Finn was good, she was very very good, and when she was bad…she got arrested for assault and indecent exposure. Now Jen’s back in school and determined to find her balance. But one man seems just as determined to destroy her equilibrium, and he knows all the right buttons to push.

What began as a favor for an old friend became something more the instant Trick Dunham laid eyes on Jen. Now he can’t resist inserting himself into her life, despite warnings from her family. Little Finn might be struggling to find her path but Trick knows exactly where she belongs. What she needs. He just has to get her and their third to agree.

Professor Declan Kelley has a weakness for his old lover, Trick. The bad boy ex-con has become a wickedly sensual man who comes whenever he pleases, but never stays. When he shows up again it’s to offer Declan one of his darkest desires to date—Jennifer Finn and Trick together on a three-way platter. But that would threaten the safe, uncomplicated life he’s built for himself, and Declan’s not doing that for anything.

Unless it’s forever…

Warning: This book is a Jenga tower of sin. Explicit, graphic, shocking, teetering-on-the-edge-of-unbalanced, unapologetic sin. M/m, m/f, fwatching m/m together and liking it so much that m grabs f and makes her a part of the dirtiest m/m/f ménage in history. That’s right, I said it. Role play—the hot-for-teacher kind, the sexy-thief-in-the-night kind AND…well sometimes you just have to ignore the warnings and dive right in
.

A Fashionably Dead Christmas by Robyn Peterman
It’s Christmas at the Cressida House and all Hell is breaking loose.

Tree? Decorated and lit. Elf on a Shelf? Seated with style. Baby Jesus on the mantle? Fourteen neatly in a row. Life sized Nutcracker? Creepy, but standing proud. Invitations sent to entire immortal family to celebrate the holiday? Possibly the stupidest damn thing I’ve ever done.

Mixing Heaven and Hell on my cousin’s famous birthday seemed like such a brilliant idea. I wanted my baby’s first Christmas to be special—memorable. I’d like chalk my heinous idea up to having been fallen down drunk, but that won’t fly as it’s insanely difficult for a Vampyre to tie one on. So instead I’ll deal with obscene gifts from relatives, kidnapped rock stars and catering by Mother Nature.

To complicate matters, our new family pet thinks the whole house is his toilet. Ethan and I can’t even find a room with working lock on the door to spread a little holiday cheer.

Never, never again. Christmas from now on will be at a freakin’ spa for the undead—no poles for dancing and no slumber parties with the Devil.

I just have to make it through the next twenty-four hours without beheading a beloved one.

I give this book 5 chocolate dipped strawberries. FABULOUS

Cupid by Lucy Felthouse is a quick flirty Christmas story that's part of a set of novellas focused
on Santa's reindeer who are shifters with normal lives 364 days of the year. I read Cupid during a day of baking cookies and listening to holiday tunes. It was the perfect addition to my day.

As a postman by day, and one of Santa’s reindeer on a single very special night, Cassius Cupid eats, sleeps, and breathes deliveries. He doesn’t mind, but sometimes wishes that someone would send him something more exciting than bills and junk mail.

One cold January morning, Cassius gets his wish. A young woman arrives with a parcel. Turns out it’s for his housemate—but Cassius doesn’t care. All he’s interested in is Carina – the beautiful female courier.
Has Cupid finally met his match?

REVIEW:
DARK WOLF RISING, Stephanie Rowe

New York Times bestselling author, Stephanie Rowe, launches her explosive new Heart of the Shifter series, in which passion and loyalty are brutally tested in a world where survival is never guaranteed.

A decade ago, wolf shifter Cash Burns severed all ties to his past in order to protect his best friend, the childhood sweetheart he has never forgotten. When she's targeted for assassination by his pack on Christmas Eve, he's the only one who can save her…but at a cost greater than he can afford.

Haunted by a tragic secret, Brynn McKenzie has been fighting for survival, alone in a world she doesn't fit. She's on the run for her life, forced to choose between redemption and survival. She has nowhere to turn, until the man who walked away from her so long ago appears in her hotel room with a knife and a promise she can't afford to believe.

When passion ignites between Bryn and Cash, will it shatter what little hope they have for survival, or make them stronger than they ever thought they'd be?

REVIEW:

Anthologies are awesome ways to find new-to-you authors and reconnect with favorite characters or author's worlds.  Ebook publishers have finally figured this out and package a spectrum of anthologies - everything from contemporary to urban fantasy, paranormal to historical and trust me when I say this is also a huge bargain for avid readers and romance fan girls (and guys) as they are usually under $3!  Alphas Unwrapped delights readers with twenty-one (!) top notch paranormal authors penning all new stories with paranormal holiday flair.

Dark Wolf Rising is the lead in the new Heart of a Shifter series by Stephanie Rowe. Ms. Rowe is a lady of many talents: from contemporary to paranormal, sugar and spice and everything nice...I have yet to find a story of hers I didn't thoroughly enjoy. I love her clever storylines, well crafted and fast paced so as to engage any new-to-her readers. I also adore her strong characters - alphas, heroines and secondaries that have a reader clamoring for more, more, more. And lest ye think she's all talk and no action - have no doubts that the romance part of paranormal romance is steamy, sexy goodness. Cash and Brynn's story is case in point - and you just know from his first introduction that angry, angsty Jace needs his own HEA!

I personally loved the idea of introducing a new series in an anthology - some of my favorite series have begun that way and it's like sampling cakes or trying on dresses before the "big day"....what a great way to tip your toes in the water. That being said, jump in with both feet for this author is an "auto-buy" - her work is guaranteed to melt your icicles and warm you on a cold winter's night!

RATING: I give both Dark Wolf Rising and Alphas Unwrapped a tasty 4 delish chocolate covered strawberries! Live it up folks - it's Christmas!!!
