Inside Out, Andrew Grey, Dreamspinner Press
Former mercenary Bull Krebbs now heads up security at his nightclub in Harrisburg, PA. Working the door night after night, he's seen it all. Though tough on the outside, he's a little hurt that people find him unapproachable. Then he pulls a cute twink out of line to perform a random search, and he's surprised when the guy giggles and squirms.
Zach Spencer, graphic artist, twink, and seriously ticklish, isn't intimidated by Bull. He's in awe, and when Bull saves Zach from being trampled on the dance floor, Zach finds his inspiration for the superhero in his graphic novel.
Soon Zach wants more and makes his move by asking Bull on a date. Though small, he has a backbone of steel. He'll need it—their happily ever after is thwarted at every turn, including by Bull's interloping mother showing up unannounced and enemies from Bull's past threatening to pull him to the other side of the world.
REVIEW:
I'm not going to lie, as soon as I saw Jesse Jackman on the cover of this book I knew I had to have it. I mean look at the man he is H.O.T. hot!! Not to mention that he seems like an incredibly nice guy from what I know if him on social media. Add in the writing of Andrew Grey and you knew this was going to be a winner.
Bull needs something in his life to shake it up a bit. He is very boring when we first meet him. You can tell he is a good guy that has just gotten comfortable and really isn't making an effort anymore.
Enter Zach! Zach is everything Bull is not. He is not very assertive, he is very ticklish, and he's a virgin. But he is everything that Bull needs.
This is another beautifully written book from Grey. I like the way that he takes time for his relationships to happen, he builds a foundation before throwing them into bed. But oh Honey, when he does get them there it is super smexy and their chemistry is palpable! His characters also seem to bring out the best in each other so we see Bull get a little softer and we see Zach mature and gain more confidence.
I enjoyed Zach's cast of friends and the support they gave him. I am really hoping we get books for not only them but Bull's friend Harry as well. I do have to tell you though that I wanted to crawl into this book and smack Bull's mother most of the time. The woman drove me just a bit crazy along with Zach's uncle. There are a couple of different story lines happening in this book which made it a fast and intriguing read.
Inside Out is funny, sexy and a must have for any fan of romance!
