Drama Queen, Joe Cosentino
Nicky & Noah Mystery #1
It could be curtains for college theatre professor Nicky Abbondanza. With dead bodies popping up all over campus, Nicky must use his drama skills to figure out who is playing the role of murderer before it is lights out for Nicky and his colleagues. Complicating matters is Nicky's huge crush on Noah Oliver, a gorgeous assistant professor in his department, who may or may not be involved with a cocky graduate assistant...and is also the top suspect for the murders! You will be applauding and shouting Bravo for Joe Cosentino's fast-paced, side-splittingly funny, edge-of-your-seat, delightfully entertaining novel. Curtain up!
REVIEW:
If Clue had taken place on a college campus it would have been Drama Queen. This was a fun, campy, sexy romp.
When Nicky and Noah are asked to play Sherlock and Watson by their department head to get to the bottom of the murders taking place in the drama dept, it gives Nicky the alone time he craves with the sexy younger professor. If it wasn't for the dead bodies popping up everywhere it would be the perfect seduction scene.
I liked the story and the murder was not obvious at all, but for me the narration was a bit stilted. This was my first book by narrator Michael Gilboe and it was just ok for me.

Drama Muscle
Nicky & Noah Mystery #2
It could be lights out for college theatre professor Nicky Abbondanza. With dead bodybuilders popping up on campus, Nicky, and his favorite colleague/life partner Noah Oliver, must use their drama skills to figure out who is taking down pumped up musclemen in the Physical Education building before it is curtain down for Nicky and Noah. Complicating matters is a visit from Noah’s parents from Wisconsin, and Nicky’s suspicion that Noah may be hiding more than a cut, smooth body.
You will be applauding and shouting Bravo for Joe Cosentino’s fast-paced, side-splittingly funny, edge-of-your-seat entertaining second novel in this delightful series. Curtain up and weights up!
REVIEW:
The Students are dropping like flies again but this time it's the Physical Education department. So how did Nicky and Noah end up in the middle of all the bodies once again?
Nicky and Noah are asked to help bring some flair to the annual bodybuilding competition on campus, which is great, except for the dead bodies piling up again. With an abundance of interesting, crazy suspects the couple have their hands full trying to find the killer...all while dealing with personal issue in their relationship.
The addition of Noah's parents made this book for me. They were hilarious! While the mystery's conclusion was a little more obvious in this story the narration by Chip Hurley was much smoother and made the listen much more enjoyable for me.

You will be applauding and shouting Bravo for Joe Cosentino’s fast-paced, ribald, edge-of-your-seat entertaining third novel in this delightful series. Curtain up and ship ahoy!
