Lover Unleashed

I believe I read Lover Unleashed in record time (for me). I’d forgotten just how much I love the way J. R. Ward writes. The humor and sarcasm in this book is true to form and a perfect underlying tone to what could be too sappy if not imbedded throughout. The book starts off a bit slow with a tremendous amount of background. Maybe I’m just too impatient with what was to come? Let’s get on with the show – really. However, I love the way not only Payne’s story unfolds, but another Brother’s story finally reaches some form of closure. The real kicker is the teaser spun throughout Payne’s tale that hopefully is leading to the next book. If not…I’m gonna die! Payne and Mannie lead the reader through a series of twists and turns that leave you sleepless ; mostly because you’re still reading at 2a! And the third female with big brown eyes….wow.
