Colter's Daughter
Colter's Daughter, Maya Banks, Samhain Publishing
He let her go once. This time he’s playing for keeps.
Colters’ Legacy, Book 3
Callie Colter once chased sunsets all over the world. Until Max. Together they were a perfect storm of desire, and she reveled in the beautiful power. Then he disappeared without a word, and the betrayal drove her home to lick her wounds.
Who knew he’d have the gall to show his face in her brother’s bar.
Max Wilder figures he deserves Callie’s right hook to the jaw, but it changes nothing. He had his reasons for pursuing her across Europe, for making her fall in love with him. But when she took everything he gave and offered more, she changed all the rules. He had no choice leaving her, but he’s back. This time for the right reasons.
Callie is angry and hurt, yet powerless against Max’s relentless onslaught. He’ll settle for nothing less than her complete surrender—and her love. Only when she’s back in his arms will he be truly happy. And the damning truth can stay safely tucked away.
Except the truth has a way of creeping to the surface, and Max may just be out of second chances.
My review for you!!!
The last in the Colters’ series is out and it is a most read. Callie’s depression pulled at our hearts in Colters’ Lady. The story really starts then when she returns from Europe and refuses to share her problems with her family. Every reader knew it had to be man trouble but you had to wondered if it was going to be one man or three? You have to love this series. It turns out to be ONE DOMINANT man.
Max Wilder is ever submissive woman’s dream man. There are women out there who won’t want to read this because they believe that women should never be portrayed as submissive. Read it anyway because Callie’s character proves that you can be a strong woman and still be submissive to your man. Maya Banks doesn’t let us down with the way she handles this topic. I laughed at Callie’s resistance, I loved the protective nature of the Colter family, and I cried (hard) as the book comes to its climax.
I really don’t want to spoil this book for you by giving too much away. The overview does enough of that. This book is one my top five that I have read this year. She handles the D/s lifestyle with class and isn’t skimpy on the STEAMY sex scenes. It isn’t just a “who is sleeping with who” book. This is an emotionally gripping story with two outstanding characters struggling to find a way back to each other when trust has been broken. I give this story 5 chocolate dipped strawberries. Go get it and read it now, you won’t regret it!
