Dragon Bound
Dragon Bound by Thea Harrison
If you could steal anything from a Dragon’s hoard, what would it be?
In Dragon Bound by Thea Harrison, the heroine Pia Giovanni, faces that question and I do not want to give it away because it was wonderful as a reader to have it revealed as Ms. Harrison does, and I would not want to spoil that for anyone. It was probably the best little fun fact or plot element of any book I have read in a long time. At book club we had a discussion about how Ms. Harrison might have come up with that element of the story, and I would love to hear that from her. Please comment!! Serious snaps for coming up with it; it still makes me smile just thinking about it.
If you really pissed off a Dragon by stealing from him, what would you do next?
Run? Talk Smack? Sex Him up? Again, I am not sure that what Pia did was what any of us would do, but it is so fresh and humorous and well written, that it is all very believable and makes for a great journey with these characters. We get very involved with Pia and Dragos, the super hot Dragon shifter, who is not too happy about the fact that anyone found his hoard, much less stole from it. However, he finds Pia so refreshing and such a challenge to the boredom he has faced for thousands of years, that he clearly doesn’t want the adventure to end either. They are a great coupling and one of my favorite supernatural couples.
This book was hard to put down. It had such great dialogue, good romance, and interesting secondary characters that I could not wait to finish it and can’t wait to read the next book. I tend to be a pretty hard grader in the book club, but I definitely give this one 5 chocolate dipped strawberries!!!
