The Dry Spell Is Broken!

Whew am I glad that's over! LOL I hate when I go through those dry spells where I just can't seem to get into anything. Our feature author this week was a big help in getting me through the dark days. Now I am really looking forward to having some down time this week with the Thanksgiving holiday. I have some books in my TBR pile that have just been waiting for me to read them and I am hoping to cut a wide swath through them over the long weekend. I am sure I will probably do just a tad bit of shopping at some point this weekend too. It would be great if I could just bust it all out and be done with it. I love to buy things for people but I really hate dealing with the crowds this time of year.

Speaking of presents, I got one of my own in a new to me author. Sondrae Bennett is our feature author this week and we are reviewing her Alpine Woods Shifters series and after reading the first two books I have to say I am hooked on the Callahan Clan.

Ms. Bennett has begun this series with a solid foundation. Great character development and world building in a short story is not always easy to do but this is one that gets it right. I liked the way that the relationship builds not only between Jason and Samantha but between Samantha and his family. There is a nice balance of humor in the story so it doesn't feel bogged down in drama. And the sex scenes are scorching hot. Strong secondary character's have me looking forward to more stories set in this fresh, exciting, erotic world. So give yourself a present and settle down with some sexy shifters.
