Brides of the
Kindred – Book 5
Revealed by
Evangeline Anderson
Nadiah has the Sight—the ability to see into the future. But the one thing she can’t see is how she’s ever going to be free of the blood bond her parents forced her into when she was only six. Her fiancĂ©e is an evil bastard who delights in torturing her and her only way out of a loveless marriage is for a Kindred warrior to challenge the hated bond. But Nadiah has no warrior to challenge for her—she just has Rast.
Adam Rast doesn’t know why he feels so protective and possessive of Nadiah, only that he’s willing to kill or die to protect her. When the chance to set her free arises, he takes it without hesitation, even though his lack of Kindred blood could mean his defeat or even his death. But Rast has a secret, one even he doesn’t know he possesses. When he undertakes Nadiah’s quest, the truth comes out in a strange and provocative way.
Can Nadiah and Rast live through their ordeal? Will the truth about Rast set them free…or kill them? You’ll have to read Revealed to find out.
The on-going saga of the Kindred and their brides is still going strong. I, on the other hand, am not. These books are quite lengthy – and so well-written – the storyline so compelling, I cannot sleep. For a week now, I’ve stayed up into the wee hours of the night reading. It’s crazy – I haven’t gotten to read straight through a series I’ve liked so much in a very long time. And remember (if you read my review on Monday) that means a lot because I haven’t ever liked fantasy books before this.
Evangeline Anderson is an incredibly imaginative author who
has continued her amazing fantasy world again in Revealed. The journey of Rast and Nadiah takes them
from one end of the universe to the other with struggles of strength, blood,
perseverance and love. Though herein lies the weakness in this book for me – I don’t
like this couple as much as the others and I can’t put my finger on it exactly.
Nonetheless, as is true with all the
books in this series, the plot is solid and so well crafted. Integrated past
couples from earlier books creates an automatic bond with readers though the
author is careful to keep the main couple in the spotlight.
The foreshadowing of things to come confirms that this
series is nowhere near the end. The
introduction of Merrick especially, along with the crazy twist at the end,
leaves readers hanging brilliantly. The
plot twists keep the tension high giving readers a quick paced read while being
absolutely captivated by the overall series. These books are long but so full of action and
delicious alpha males. It’s a no brainer for me – this book deserves our 5 Chocolate-Dipped Strawberry rating.
Yummy. Yum. Yum.

Book 2 was my favorite, but Sylvan and Merrick ate probably tied in my mind.
ReplyDeleteLoved Sylvan and Merrick too but the very first Kindred I met - Baird - holds a special place with me. And the Beast Kindred and their bonding fist - holy hell!

ReplyDeleteLOVE THIS SERIES! Evangeline just keeps getting better and better (I've been a fan for years). Hmmm...favorite...it's so hard! I love a beastly man, but biting has a certain appeal and really, if you can have 1, 2 has to be better, right? lol
ReplyDeleteDon't know why it's posting me as unknown, I signed in...grrr..stupid google.
