Accidentally Friends #1
When Marty Andrews gets bitten by a mangy mutt while walking her teacup poodle, her blond hair darkens, the hair on her legs starts growing at an alarming rate, and her mood swings put her dream job as a sales rep for Bobbie-Sue Cosmetics in serious jeopardy.
Then a drool-worthy man shows up at her door claiming that he accidentally bit Marty. And since he's a werewolf, she is now, too. Thinking Keegan Flaherty is clearly insane, Marty refuses to believe a word until a kidnapping makes her realize there's more at stake than just her highlights. And she must put her out-of-control life in the hands of the man who makes her blood run wild in more ways than one...
REVIEW:
Ok I will admit, it took me a couple of chapters to really get into this book because I am SO NOT one of those girls that knows if I am a summer or a winter and I wouldn't know a color wheel if it ran over me, but once I got into I was hooked!
I loved Marty and her stubborn denial of what was happening to her until she finally sprouted a tail. And any woman that can worry about moisturizing in the middle of a crisis I have to give props to!
Keegan had me at his name! Keegan Flaherty, I could here the lilting accent in my head(even if he didn't have one) and I was a puddle of goo. And you gotta love a guy that in spite of the fact that you drive him crazy he loves you anyway.
Strong secondary characters really filled out this story. Nina and Wanda were great friends that always had Marty's back. While the rest of the pack may have been assholes, Keegan's siblings were great. The world that the author created has so many possibilities and I can't wait to read the next installment.
So if you like your paranormal on the laugh out loud side of the spectrum then the Accidentally Friends series should so be in your color wheel!!
