And then lust becomes part of the equation, and Ryan’s quiet life is thrown into turmoil.
Their story unfolds against the chaos that overtakes the ranch, with Adam regaining memories that terrify him and make him look at Justin differently, and Justin leaving the ranch to make things right. Only through trusting in love and friendship can Justin and Adam learn to look to the future instead of letting the past destroy everything. But will they ever see clearly enough to do that?
REVIEW:
This is the 4th installment in the Montana series and I for one was happy to be back on the Crooked Tree Ranch. And while a lot of the story takes place on the ranch our MC's don't live there.
The movie business has come to town and there are Hollywood types all over. The first impression that Sheriff Carter has of Jordan Darby, King of Christmas, isn't much. But things start to heat up the more the two spend time together.
Jordan, and his brother have started their own production company and are making their first movie, so everything has to go right. Jordan can't come out of the closet just yet even for the big, sexy town sheriff. But he also can't deny the attraction or the desire for something more.
While temperatures are rising between the cop and the actor, things are growing colder between one time best friends Justin and Adam. Adam is remembering more everyday, but he can't trust what he is seeing or it means Justin hasn't been honest with him.
It was great to see other members of the small Montana town brought into the story and I would love to learn more about Ryan's family. I also felt that it was good to see that things didn't just bounce back to normal for Adam and Justin. After what they had been through it made sense that things would have to get worse before they could get better.
I for one would love to see this author bring us back to the ranch and the characters that I have fallen for again and again. Do yourself a favor and start from the beginning.
