Blurb:

Cory Blindbarrow of Blindbarrow Crimefighting Couture, loves her work—from tailoring bulletproof fabrics to engineering concealed weaponry. Kowtowing to the over-sized egos of her superhero clientele? Not so much.

Her newest client, Theo Richelieu, aka Prometheus Man, can see five minutes into the future. Unfortunately, nobody believes him. He’s exactly the type that pushes Cory’s buttons. But he’s also quite talented at engaging (and disengaging) her buttons and zippers. As maddening as Theo can be, Cory can’t deny their supernatural chemistry.

When a sniper targets Cory’s colleagues, Theo appoints himself her protector. His know-it-all attitude soon has her ready to tattoo a bulls eye on her forehead. If Theo is unable to convince the headstrong couturier she’s the sniper’s next mark, their happily ever after might never make it out of the design phase.

Review:

Picture the Pixar movie The Incredibles and you will have a pretty good idea of the world this books takes place in.  Basically our modern day world but with actual superheroes running around saving the day and an entire industry of people that work to support them.  Now picture a Greek God like man, with a Clark Kent like - geeky alter ego, with the ability to predict the future but a curse that prevents anyone from believing him.   Now picture the costume tailor from The Incredibles movie but much hotter and with some super-natural tendencies of her own and you’ll have a good idea of the feeling of this book.  It is a fun quick read with quirky characters with tons of attitude and spunk.   Theo, aka Prometheus Man, seems as unlikely hero at first with his less then amazing ability compared to the other heroes out there but when put to the test he is just what Cory needs.  As the level of danger to Cory ramps up he is there every step of the way as they try to unravel where the threat is coming from and how to stop it.  And as the danger ramps up and they are continually forced to rely on each other they begin to have trouble denying the chemistry and unexplainable pull that they feel towards each other.   The story is cleverly written and a fun twist on our world.   This is an easy, fun quick read.
