REVIEW

When society as we know it no longer exists, the new people - the Free Islanders - take some of the remaining Americans as their spouses. Just imagine being kidnapped by a deliciously handsome, alpha male... I know it's not PC to admit but don't a lot of us have that whole kidnapping fantasy at some point?? Anyway, here's a book where you can live out your fantasy... including a few naughty spankings as dessert!

When Emma is "rescued" by John, this is exactly what happens. Furious at first, she resists him but then falls in love so smoothly everything about the experience feels authentic. Their chemistry is hot. I liked John from the very start and the way Emma reacted to him was so natural with some fear alongside an irresistible attraction. Then when John introduced her to his DD lifestyle without any hesitation and she fell naturally into it, it was sweet and sexy at the same time.

I loved this book and wished it weren't so short. This could've been a longer book and definitely has series potential - I mean, there are other Free Islander men.  Rules of War was a good quick read and I'd recommend it to anyone who likes reading about domestic discipline or just wants a spankingly delicious read.
