Happy Humpday y'all! I don't know about you but I am not real impressed with 2013. Widespread Flu outbreaks statewide have our hospital on high alert - everyone is masking up. Do everyone you love a favor and get your flu shots - it's not too late! What else can you do, you ask? Get plenty of rest and exercise, stay hydrated, wash your hands and when all else fails - stay in and read a good book!
In honor of the fact that we are having to gown up, I thought I'd bring you some boys who are a little more dressed down....MMmmmm tasty!

REVIEW:
Ms. Beck bravely jumped into the paranormal fray with her debut novel, Lustful Cravings. Introducing a new breed of vampires takes guts and building a new world takes time. Fortunately, she seems to be finding some solid footing in her second volley, Eternal Envy.
The Sinster sisters have an interesting predicament. Each embodies the characteristics of one of the seven deadly sins. Finding her mate can either trigger the sin or stop it. Eloise envies everything but once she's met her mate, she's met her match. Caedon's lost much in his life and he'll fight to keep what's left. He never imagines he'll find his fated mate much less the family he's thought he lost.
As a second in a series, it's nice to see some of the world fleshed out. The covert military group the Valendite males work for starts to make sense and other members of both the Breeds as well as the Sinster family are introduced which solidifies some of the story lines that felt a little loose in the first book. There is well written action and some tense plot twists that keep the reader turning page after page. A good mix of paranormal with erotic romance, Eternal Envy captures readers and jealously guards them until every juicy page is read.

Ms. Beck serves up a tasty holiday morsel with the third in her Sin Sisters series. Slightly shorter but no less delightful, this Christmastime story embodies the spirit of giving without being so Christmassy that it can only be read in December! Standing on solid ground with this very enjoyable paranormal romance (super charged with erotic elements), Holiday Gem delivers the greedy little romance between scholarly Gemma and brawny Seamus.
Interestingly enough, while there wasn't a huge amount of plot advancement as far as the whole Magdalena/Valendite mystery. Seamus does join his unit on a mission to find his missing friend and Gemma does come out of her shell of self imposed research exile. Watching the pair connect in an instant and greedily embark upon an erotic thrill ride. Heavier on the romance than action side, which I think is a plus in a holiday story, Holiday Gem should be gobbled up like candy on every delicious page.
Well written, cleverly crafted, and characters that grow on you with every new story, I give installment #3 of the Sin Sisters a tasty Four Chocolate Dipped Strawberries!
