Humpday Hello to Tes Hilaire!

Greetings and salutation my humpday nation! Last round of March drinks are on me - the month of Tyra and Jenn has come to an end - another year wiser, braver and better read! I don't know about our peeps on the west coast, but this whole winter in March thing is killing me! No more snow please......in fact, in order to get warm, I've resorted to some serious eye candy to warm me up this week. See if you don't agree - ready, set, Yum!

And now, for more of this week's spotlight on Tes Hilaire's Paladin Warrior series - some super, serious paranormal goodness!  And did we mention your chance to win?!  Comment to be entered!

Deliver Me From Darkness,
Tes Hilaire,
Sourcebooks Casablanca
Paladin Warriors #1

A STRANGER IN THE NIGHT...

He had once been a warrior of the Light, one of the revered Paladin. A protector. But now he lives in darkness, and the shadows are his sanctuary. Every day is a struggle to overcome the bloodlust. Especially the day Karissa shows up at his doorstep.

COMES KNOCKING ON THE DOOR

She is light and bright and everything beautiful—despite her scratches and torn clothes. Every creature of the night is after her. So is every male Paladin. Because Karissa is the last female of their kind. But she is his. He may not have a soul, but he can't deny his heart.

REVIEW:

It's hard to dive into the paranormal pool with something different, fresh and exciting.  That being said, Tes Hilaire took a bold chance creating her world with Godly warriors and their fight against true evil and it definitely works!  The characters are muti-dimensional and the storyline is solid, creative and well crafted.

Roland, the former Paladin, has to be one of the grouchiest, surliest romantic heroes ever. Hanging onto his humanity by a shred, it's understandable that he feels the need to deny himself the lifemate he finds in the wretched woman who seeks out the assistance of his best friend Lucas Calhoun.  His acerbic tone and OCD nature make for some comic relief in this dark paranormal romance.

Watching Roland and Karissa deny their feelings and fight their destiny makes the heart of this book. Interspersed with great action and tightly woven plot twists, Deliver Me From Darkness makes the reader;s heart pound!  There's nothing better than a story that makes you want to turn page after page, long after bedtime. Hilaire's secondary characters provide color, interest and cement the need for future stories in this very promising and highly enjoyable series start!

If you like your whiskey served with Doritos and your hunky heroes tortured but redeemable, look no further - snag your copy of Deliver Me From Darkness and enjoy!

Be sure to make a comment for a chance to win the first two books in the Paladin Warriors series!!!
