What an insane crazy week. Every week is busy but this week was way outta control. A trip to the zoo, the water park, basketball, TKD, the carnival and a basketball and soccer tournament this weekend. Whew! Next week it gonna be the same. So let's say good bye to school an let the summer fun begin. Let's also say good bye to this......
Dead Ever After by Charlaine Harris
Sookie Stackhouse finds it easy to turn down the request of former barmaid Arlene when she wants her job back at Merlotte’s. After all, Arlene tried to have Sookie killed. But her relationship with Eric Northman is not so clearcut. He and his vampires are keeping their distance…and a cold silence. And when Sookie learns the reason why, she is devastated.
Then a shocking murder rocks Bon Temps, and Sookie is arrested for the crime.
But the evidence against Sookie is weak, and she makes bail. Investigating the killing, she’ll learn that what passes for truth in Bon Temps is only a convenient lie. What passes for justice is more spilled blood. And what passes for love is never enough...
Well, it's finally over. I would say I was sad but I'm not. It was time it may have been time a book or two ago. I will however miss the sparkly covers. I must say that the cover fits the book perfectly. Everyone comes together to once again save Sookie's butt. It was a nice way to visit with everyone one last time. I wanted this series to end with Sookie finding peace and not having all the life or death situations and I got my wish but I must say I'm not sure I feel about it now that I got my wish??? I was also surprised how abruptly some things ended. So raise your bottle of blood and say a good bye toast to Bon Temps.
I give this book 3 chocolate dipped strawberries and a vacation for Sookie. Lord knows she needs one after all she's been thru over the course of these books.
PEACE
