COVER REVEAL! Hard Knox @NWilliamsBooks

HARD KNOX
A New Series by NYT Bestselling Author Nicole Williams

The Outsider Chronicles, #1
New Adult/Adult Contemporary
Releasing August 12, 2014
Cover designed by Okay Creations

Knox Jagger. The name inspires resent in every male at Sinclair University, want in every female, and contempt in Charlie Chase.

Charlie can be summed up in three words: independent, independent, and independent. To Charlie, Knox epitomizes everything that’s wrong with college males: prolific one-night stands, drunken senseless fights, and a body that hints at prioritizing gym time over study time.

As an up-and-coming writer for Sinclair University’s newspaper, Charlie’s tasked with getting to the bottom of who’s been dropping little white pills into girls’ drinks at parties. In an ocean of All-American boys sporting polo shirts and innocent smiles, Knox is the obvious suspect. As evidence piles up against the bad boy of Sinclair, Charlie becomes more and more certain it isn’t Knox. But when her drink is dosed at a party and she wakes up on Knox’s couch the next morning, Charlie’s left with more questions than answers when it comes to Knox Jagger.

How can Charlie ever hope to uncover the truth behind a guy so closed off he’s become... Hard Knox.

About the Author
I’m the New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author of the CRASH series (HarperTeen, S&S UK), LOST & FOUND series, UP IN FLAMES (S&S UK), The EDEN TRILOGY, and a handful of others. I write stories about everyday kinds of people who find themselves in extraordinary kinds of situations. I tell love stories with happy endings because I believe in making the world a better place, and that’s one tiny way I can make it so. I’m one of those people who still believe in true love and soul mates, and would rather keep my head in the clouds any day over having my feet firmly on the ground.   Blog | Twitter | Facebook

Now Available! LOCK & KEY #Review @CatPorter103

Released June 23, 2014

Book Description
Love not only stings when you lose it, when it’s ripped away, but when it first sinks its teeth into you,
it can cut just as raw and sting just as deep.
I had forgotten that.

Fifteen years ago I had survived my Old Man’s murder and swore to myself never again.
Never again surrender my heart.
Never again sacrifice to the Club.
At least that’s what I always believed.

Then I had to come home, and my past and present blew up in my face

Who holds the keys to betrayal? To suspicion? To trust?
To brotherhood? To family?
To a bleeding heart?
Right now, I just might.

Some of us have to get really dirty before we can become truly clean.

REVIEW
Another MC Romance that strikes out on its own. The topic might be familiar but the characters and plot are unique. The layers of secrets that are peeled away throughout the story keep it interesting. The heroine deals with death and loss, heartbreak and love, drugs and lies... all those things that keep MC romances edgy. With so much going on, there isn't too much time spent focused on the heroine and her hero which would be my primary complaint. Their relationship seems authentic, and I can buy into the developing relationship through the course of all the other events, but I still wish I'd seen more of their interactions.

With so many men and some discontent between clubs still present, I hope to read more about the One Eyed Jacks soon. If you enjoy MC romances, try this one out. You won't be disappointed.

About the AuthorI'm Cat Porter. I daydream all the time, 'what if' way too much, and am an incurable romantic. And I don't want to be cured of any of those. Ever. I've always loved to read, and always needed to write. I like to explore what bonds a man and a woman together- the very small things and the sort of epic, the glory and the mess. Oh yeah, plenty of crazy mess. Don't you think?

NEW RELEASE #REVIEWS! Here & Now Series @WriterLexiRyan #GIVEAWAY

I love LOVE TRIANGLES. And so does Lexi Ryan apparently because that's what her latest series is all about. It's awesome! My reviews of he first two books are below. If you haven't started the series yet, you are in luck because the first book *LOST IN ME* is now available for just $0.99.

What Lexi Says...
What If You Had to Choose? Why I Heart Love Triangles

I am so incredibly lucky. I get to spend my days writing down the stories in my head—pretty much my favorite thing to do—and then people read them and write me to let me know what they thought. After Lost in Me, Book 1 of the Here and Now Series, released, the comment I heard the most was some variation of, “I usually hate love triangles, but…” To say I made you enjoy a trope that you usually dislike, is a huge compliment, so thank you!

But personally? I freaking FLOVE love triangles! I’m addicted. My favorite movies and books all seem to be love triangles. Sometimes the “better guy” is obvious and sometimes he’s not. Sometimes there’s a love triangle and the third party isn’t even around—maybe he’s dead or overseas—but that doesn’t change the heart of what makes a love triangle story work.

Here are a few of my favorite love triangle movies:

While You Were Sleeping? How can you resist the whole forbidden chemistry with the (supposed) fiancĂ©’s brother? The conflict is built in and everyone loves Jack and wants her to end up with him, but he’s such a freaking good guy, he’s not going to do anything to get in the way of what he thinks she wants.

She asks, “Can you give me any reason why I shouldn't marry your brother?”
And my heart just tears into two when he says, “Oh... I can't.”

Love Actually? If there’s a scene that inspires belly butterflies more than the scene where he comes to the door with those signs, I haven’t seen it! The selflessness of the guy who lets go so the girl can move on is super hot. If you haven’t seen it, here’s what the signs say:

With any luck, by next year - I'll be going out with one of these girls. [shows pictures of hot models] But for now, let me say - Without hope or agenda - Just because it's Christmas - And at Christmas you tell the truth - To me, you are perfect - And my wasted heart will love you - Until you look like this. [shows picture of a mummy] Merry Christmas.

And come on…Twilight? That whole series was 400-times more addictive because of the whole Bella-Edward-Jacob thing. (And, confession, I was totally Team Jacob, but that’s a post for another day.)

Two amazing guys in love with the heroine? Yes, please.
All of the naughty forbidden chemistry? Yes, please.
The angsty gut tugging of not knowing how she’s going to choose? Yeah. I’m all over that.

So…love triangles. Love ’em or hate ’em?

About Lexi
Once a college English professor, I now write full time. I live in rural Indiana, where, when I’m not writing, I get to hang out with my husband and two kids–a six-year-old boy and a two-year-old hellion, er, girl. Not surprisingly, reading and writing remain my favorite activities, though both come in bits and pieces these days, not the big hunks of time I enjoyed before I had children. When I’m feeling virtuous, I like to go running (I use that word liberally. I’m really, really slow) or do yoga. Don’t worry, I’m always careful to balance out such activities with a hearty serving of ice cream or a chocolate martini.

FALL TO YOU
Here and Now #2
Torn between the man she’s always wanted and the man she can’t remember…and yet can’t let go.
This is NOT a standalone novel.

REVIEW
I dove right into Fall To You as soon as I finished Lost In Me. I was hooked after book one, completely invested in the characters. Since the series, and the one before it, surrounds a family of sisters and their friends in a small community, readers already feel as if we know the characters. With each book, we learn more about them since the author involves the secondary characters often despite Here And Now being  focused on Hanna and her love triangle.

I admit to swaying one way after reading book one #TEAMnate v #TEAMmax but then the author turns it around and the empathy I develop for both male lead characters in this book makes me understand better just why Hanna is caught up the way she is. The emotions that come out are powerful, real and push readers to become cheerleaders for Hanna. So, Hanna, whatever you choose, I'm #TEAMhanna all the way!

*Whew! I made it through the review without any spoilers! I need a drink... that wasn't easy!?*

 LOST IN ME
Here and Now #1
LOST IN ME is the first book in the Here and Now series, a spin-off of the New York Times and USA Today bestselling New Hope series. This sexy amnesia love triangle is intended for mature readers. LOST IN ME is not a standalone novel.

The last thing I remember is having drinks at Brady’s and trying to avoid eye-contact with my life-long crush—the gorgeous, unattainable Maximilian Hallowell. They tell me that was a year ago, but I have no memories of anything since then. What I do have is this ring on my finger that Max says he gave me, and this much-thinner body I’ve dreamed of most of my life. Aside from a case of retrograde amnesia, everything seems almost…perfect.

But the deeper I immerse myself into this new world of mine—planning a wedding to a man I don’t remember dating, attempting to run a business I don’t remember starting—the clearer it becomes that nothing is as it seems. Do I have the life I’ve always wanted or is it a facade propped up by secrets I don’t even know I have?

I need answers before I marry Max, and the only person who seems to have them is the angry, tatted, sexy-as-sin rocker Nate Crane. And Nate wants me for himself.

REVIEW
Lost In Me is the first story in the Here and Now series, which takes off from the New Hope series. I've been hooked on this family of sisters since UnBreak Me, the very first book in that series. I enjoy the author's voice and her ability to create rich characters with plots that are anything but predictable. Readers are guessing the whole time as we follow the path these characters take. Their connections solidify the stories, providing this strong foundation upon which the author builds romantic tales of love.

Lost In Me drops us into Hanna's world just as she wakes up from an accident which leaves her charting a path to reclaim her past, searching for memories that lead her to her future. The format of flash backs to current day are done with precision so it enhances the story without confusing readers. You've to read this - and then have the next book loaded and ready because the ending will leave you craving the next book. Consider yourself warned.

ANNOUNCING a great New Adult/Adult Contemporary Romance series written by New York Times Bestselling Author, Melissa Foster and published by World Literary Press.

STROKE OF LOVE
The Remingtons, #2
Release March 3, 2014

Amazon | Barnes and Noble | iBooks

Kate Parello runs a volunteer program in Belize for Artists for International Aid, where she deals with self-
centered artists who use the program as a means to repair their marred reputations. She loves the country,
the people, and what AIA stands for, but too many diva volunteers have turned her off to press-seeking celebrities altogether and left her questioning the value of the volunteer program. When she meets incredibly handsome and charming Sage, he stirs emotions she hasn’t felt for ages, even though he represents the things she despises.

Laid-back artist Sage Remington escapes his wealthy lifestyle in the Big Apple for a two-week journey of self-discovery to figure out how a guy who has so much can feel so empty. When he meets ultra-organized Kate, who lives her life the way he’s always dreamed of living his, the attraction is too hot to ignore, but Sage is there to figure out what’s missing in his life, not to find a woman.

Every look, and every late-night chat in the romantic jungle brings them closer together, but Sage can barely think past stripping away Kate’s misconceptions about him. Kate fights him every step of the way—even though she finds it hard to ignore the strikingly handsome, generous-to-a-fault artist who wants to do nothing more than right the wrongs of the world—and love her to the ends of the earth.

NEW RELEASE!
March 31, 2014
New Adult Contemporary Romance
FIGHT FOR ME
by Bethany Bazile

I just needed someone to show me how to fight for me…

When tragedy hits Alexis Cole is shattered. She carries the blame on her shoulders after losing a big piece of herself. When Ryder Hayes sweeps back into her life, she has something to hold on to, but just as quickly as he appeared he was gone. When fate-or meddling parents-throw them back together they can no longer deny the heat that’s burned between them for years.

Ryder has always wanted Lexi, but he’s never fought so hard against something in his life.  Saving Lexi from her past was never on his agenda, but he could never bear letting her drown in it. With his UFC championship title on the line, the last thing he needs is to be distracted by Lexi. When she’s thrown back into his life he can no longer fight their attraction.

But once he claims her he knows he’ll never let go.

Mature content warning: This title is intended for Adults 18+ due to language and explicit sexual content.

If you have an aversion to steamy scenes, you may not want to board this ride, because it will be a hot and sweaty one.

REVIEW
What a tangled web life can be! The hero and heroine in Fight For Me have an extensive history that is laid out during the course of the story. Their past adds depth and just enough complication to make this more than a simple romance.

The book opens on a down note with a tragedy and Lexi, a young heroine struggling to heal. Enter the real-life hero Ryder and you just know this book is bound to be delicious.

There were some mild pacing issues and a few abrupt changes in flow but nothing that made me think twice about enjoying the book. These characters just feel like people you'd like in real life. They react as expected in different scenarios, have the typical communication problems but then pull it all together without overdoing the angst. It was a perfect blend.

The suspense story thread could've been played up a bit more to make the story that much better. It kind of came out of nowhere and would've been that extra something to push this book to the top of it's genre. It was unique but under-developed.

Still, you can't go wrong if you like romances with MMA fighters. You'll enjoy Fight For Me.

FAVORITE QUOTE

“This love will never be easy but it will always be worth the fight. Even if they manage to tear you away from me, I’d come for you. You’re that piece of happiness I can’t live without.” -Ryder
