#Squee! Happy Release Day! @SeanMichael09 BRANDED BY FLAMES #mmromance #dragons

Squee! Introducing a brand-new male/male dragon shifter series from bestselling LGBTQ author Sean Michael! It's like I don't even need to say more... all the pieces that guarantee an amazingly hot read are spelled out right there... m/m, dragon shifters, and Sean Michael. The cover caught my eye first and I knew as soon as I read the blurb, it was another must read.

I was most certainly not disappointed. With all the heat a sexy dragon brings, Jake and Shae scorch the pages of this story. Together, they're combustible and also sweet with one another. Despite all the yummy sexy goodness, the strong story line is woven into the heart of the story. I wanted these men to find their HEA, was invested in their happiness and genuinely enjoyed the other people who were a part of their lives.

I can't wait to read more in this series. The author clearly laid the foundation for a magical world filled with unique characters and all sorts of sexual fantasies come true.

BLURB
Meet the Beteferoce brothers. Five dragon shifters, each with a strong elemental power. And each with a fierce desire to find his soul mate…

For years, dragon-shifter-slash-firefighter Jake has been searching for his mate, but he's beginning to tire of the search. Maybe soul mates are only for the lucky few.

Then he meets Shae.

A former navy welder, Shae is handsome, talented, into power play and rough sex, and covered in dragon tattoos. All of this suits the shape-shifting dragon just fine—until he finds out that Shae literally has Jake's family crest already tattooed on him. A coincidence? Or something more…

Jake must convince Shae to trust him as a man and as a Dom before the heat between them burns out of control. Becoming a dragon's mate is not without danger, and Shae will need Jake's guidance—and love—if he's going to make it through alive.

Series #Review: Right and Wrong #GBLT series @LaneHayes3 @Dreamspinners

The Right and Wrong series is all right in my book. Lane Hayes crafted likable and quirky characters that readers can easily connect with and enjoy. While the series sticks with the same group of friends, each pairing is unique. Readers will fall in love with these men as they fall in love with eachother.

I listened to the audiobooks and am smitten. Go grab them. Enjoy and then come back and tell me what you loved most!

The Right Words: Right and Wrong Book 1
by Lane Hayes
Narrated By Michael Ferraiuolo
Length: 7 hrs and 25 mins

Escaping an abusive relationship left Luke Preston anxious and spouting panic-induced poetry. Desperate for a fresh start, Luke accepts a job remodeling a tired old beach house for a professional soccer player and his model girlfriend. While his passion is literature, not sports, focusing on the renovations eases his anxiety. Until the job he signed up for turns out to be more complicated than advertised.
Sidelined with a serious injury, soccer star Michael Martinez decides his beach house is the perfect place to recuperate. Remodeling might be the diversion he needs to keep his mind off his busted knee. Falling for the pretty designer with some quirky habits wasn't on the drawing board. Unfortunately, Luke didn't build a big enough closet for Michael to hide in. Having a star-powered sports career used to be all Michael lived for, but he'll have to reevaluate his plans and find the right words if he wants to build more than a beach house with Luke.

The Wrong Man: Right and Wrong, Book 2
by Lane Hayes
Narrated By Michael Ferraiuolo
Length: 8 hrs and 1 min

Successful owner of an upscale boutique in fabulous West Hollywood, Brandon Good swears by his personal edict to "live in the present". After a bad breakup, he agrees to dog-sit to keep his mind off his ex. Never did he expect the dog to belong to a man from his past, the only man to ever truly break his heart.
When Jake Westley relocates to join the WeHo fire department, the last thing he anticipates is reuniting with his secret high school love. Thrilled with the prospect of reconnecting with Bran, Jake feels no guilt in using his charming old dog as an unwitting matchmaker. As he and Bran rekindle their friendship, it becomes clear the intense attraction they once felt is stronger than ever. But as hard as they try to leave the past behind, painful memories resurface. Bran will have to confront his fears and consider the possibility that the man he swore was absolutely the wrong one might be perfect after all.

The Right Time: Right and Wrong, Book 3
by Lane Hayes
Narrated By Michael Ferraiuolo

Workaholic Nate Erickson is a successful real estate developer who thrives on long hours and stress.
When a Los Angeles project prompts him to relocate to Santa Monica, he welcomes the change of scenery. Nate has always considered romantic entanglements trouble, but his sexy next-door neighbor isn't easy to ignore. Which makes no sense, because Nate is straight...or so he's always thought.
Alex Reyes is a retired professional soccer player turned West Hollywood business owner with an insatiable lust for life. He loves his family, friends, and work. But there's one life challenge left to accomplish: coming out publicly. Respect for traditional Latino values has kept him in the closet, but Alex begins to think he and his new neighbor might help one another combat their fears. As Alex and Nate forge a strong friendship, they soon realize facing their personal demons will take more courage than either man bargained for. The reward is immeasurable...if the timing is right.

SEARCHING FOR HARMONY @NetGalley #Review @author_Kelly Elliott

SEARCHING FOR HARMONY
From New York Times bestselling author Kelly Elliott comes the gut-wrenching story of a love that transcends all odds—and transforms the deepest pain into the brightest hope. This is a book that grabs at your heart strings in all the right ways.

RATING: 4 Chocolate-Dipped Strawberries

Firefighter and first responder Preston Ward thought he had grown immune to the job's emotional
burns. But when he goes out on a particularly tragic call, he realizes that some scenes are too devastating to forget. And yet, if it weren't for that terrible night, he never would have met the woman who makes him want to risk his heart.

More than once, Harmony Banks has watched her perfectly ordered world torn apart by fate. Now she's finding out that what she lost wasn't as perfect as she thought—and it's tearing her apart. The only thing that keeps her going is the kindness of a stranger: the firefighter who saved her life the night everything changed.

Preston isn't like the men who have come before. For one thing, he's far more genuine. And the love Harmony feels growing between them is almost too intense for her wounded soul. But if she and Preston can push past heartbreak, they'll find that something incredible awaits in each other's arms.

Book #REVIEW: Point of No Return by Olivia Luck @AuthorLuck

Point of No Return

by Olivia Luck

I had it all: an adoring husband, supportive friends, thriving career, a homey condo in the city.
Amend that.
I had it all except for love from my family. But life was good because I had him. Max was everything I dreamed a husband could be and somehow he loved me just as wildly as I loved him.

Until one cruel night he was stolen from me.
Then I had nothing but a vicious battle ahead of me. It’s a struggle so treacherous, I’m not sure if I’ll make it out with my heart in tact. But on the other side of that brutal war waits the most wondrous prize.

Will I allow myself to move forward?

REVIEW: Point of No Return is a tender story of love after loss. Full of secondary characters, Violet and Cam are surrounded by family and friends that bring the story to life. And while at times the relationship evolves ever so slowly, the ending is sweet.

WARNING: This is part of a series which I recommend reading in order.

Burning Up by @Silvia_Violet #REVIEW

Burning Up, Silvia Violet
Fitting In #3
Bryce has been a firefighter for ten years, but when a horrific house fire leaves him reeling, he moves to a new city, hoping to shove those memories behind him. As he adjusts to his new station, Bryce keeps to himself until Matt and Toby, two hot young men in his unit, throw temptation in his path. Bryce knows better than to mess around with men he works with, especially two newbies who are in the closet. But after a difficult day, Matt and Toby offer him compassion and friendship, which slips so easily into sex Bryce finds the combination irresistible.

Matt and Toby want to expand their relationship to include a third, and they've set their sights on their sexy bear of a lieutenant. Their first night together is a scorcher, and, more than that, it feels right, to all of them. But since Bryce refuses to hide who he is, and dating men on his shift is against the rules, all three men are going to have to make some tough choices if they want to stay together.

REVIEW:
What's better than two hot firemen??? Three hot firemen!!

Bryce has only been in Durham for a few months. He needed a change of scenery after a bad experience while at a fire in Atlanta. He's not looking for a relationship but he can't stop fantasising about the two newbie's he works with.

Matt and Toby have been together since high school. While their bond is strong they are looking for something more. Both men need someone to step in and take control in the bedroom. But how do they convince Bryce they are serious and looking for more than just someone to play with?

The three men come together and burn the sheets up! While the sex is scorching the emotions that come about are strong and true. It's hard enough for a couple but three will take even more work.

Bryce is the older, more experienced Dom but his feelings are just as fragile. And Matt is dealing with problems that stem from being disowned by his family. Toby may be the goofy one but he is the glue that holds them together. I hope to see more about this trio and would love to see Matt take a more dominate role in some of their scenes.

Mason, Jack and Grey are very much in the story and make a great sounding board for Bryce.

Seth & Casey Storming Love: Blizzard #3 by @Rjscott_author @MLRPress #REVIEW #CONTEST

Seth & Casey
Storming Love:Blizzard #3

Seth Wild is a fire fighter who has lost everything. Nearly dying in a building collapse, he is scared and angry and chases away the only good thing in his life—school teacher Casey McGuire.

When a sudden and violent snow storm hits their town he receives a message Casey and ten kids are trapped in an education centre center with no way out. There is no one else who can help, he’s the last fire fighter in town with his bum leg and his icy heart.

He doesn’t hesitate. He always promised he would be Casey’s hero, but will he ever again be Casey’s love?

Excerpt
He pushed the door shut against the howling wind and snow and stamped off his feet coming face to face with a terrified looking probie.

“We have school kids and a teacher trapped up at Shorefields,” Seth snapped out. Probie blinked at him. He recalled the guy’s name was Evan or Eben or something. And it seemed like Evan/Eben was in complete panic mode and meltdown. He glanced worriedly from side to side, like some kind of divine intervention was going to answer Seth’s statement.

“There’s no one here,” Evan/Eben said.

Seth waited for a second then exasperated that there wasn’t more of an immediate reaction he pushed past Evan/Eben and into the main area. Both trucks gone.

“I said, they’re not here, ladder one didn’t come back in from the interstate, and engine two went out to Middleton Springs. There’s been a building collapse. It’s just me.”

Seth rounded on the guy and was so close he could see the panic in blue eyes.

“Get on to other stations and call this in—“

“I can't. Sir, we have nothing. No comms, no Internet, nothing.”

“Give me a sitrep. What’s your name? Evan? Eben?” Seth ordered.

The probie blinked at him then visibly pulled himself together. He was new since Seth had been put on leave. He’d had training, but this was probably his first real situation.

“Evan sir, Evan Pritchard. Uhmmm… Both engines out, reports of major incidents, last said the storm has taken out power. I’m alone here…” He paused. “And sir, I’m not sure what to do.”

Seth considered what he’d been told. Ten kids, Casey, Shorefields, trapped in the bus, which meant they had maybe managed to get away from Shorefields itself and had no way of getting back. He doubted they were set for extreme weather.

“Okay. I want you here. You’re not to leave and you’re to keep your eyes on comms, see if we can get more intel. I need supplies in a bag from the kitchen, water, energy bars.”

“What are you going to do?”

Seth looked directly at him. Evan needed to know where he was going. “There’s a bus load of kids trapped up at Shorefields and I’m going to help. I’m taking the Land Rover.”

He didn’t leave room for discussion, simply presented the facts a done deal. He should wait for a team, for backup, but there was nothing stopping him from getting to Jamie and the kids. And Casey.

“Yes, sir.”

They split, Seth checking the truck he was going to use, a modified vehicle capable of getting through most of the shit life could throw at it. It was equipped with most of the things he could need. Then as an afterthought, he grabbed coats from the supply room. He knew the kids would be dressed warm. After all, the whole day had been a winter experience in a beautiful place.

He was supposed to be there with Casey. He’d said he was staying at home. Time is not right to start thinking I’ve fucked up.

Review:
How does a man who bases his whole identity around what he does handle the possibility of not being able to do that job again?

Well if you are Seth, you live in denial and push away the most important person in your life because you feel that you can't be the man he needs you to be any longer. You become angry and lash out and fight with everything you are for the wrong things.

Casey wanted to be there for his lover and best friend, but when every offer he made was met with anger and contempt he had to do the hardest thing he had ever done....he walked away.

When things really matter, the lives of 10 teenagers, can Seth and Casey find their way through the storm?

Seth's feelings were so real and raw you could feel how scared he was through his words and actions. The author does a great job of relating those feelings in the short story, but more importantly she shows us the love that is at the core of both men. As always with the short novellas the author left me wanting more. .

Audiobook #REVIEW Redemption by Fire @AndrewGreyBooks @Dreamspinners

Redemption by Fire (By Fire #1) by Andrew Grey

Dirk Krause is an asshole of the first degree. His life is a hell of his own making, and he makes everyone around him just as miserable. When he's injured on the job while fighting a fire, he's nearly unbearable to the hospital staff, and of course no one from his unit cares enough to visit.

Lee Stockton is the new guy at the station, so he gets saddled with the job of bringing Dirk a sympathy bouquet from the guys at the firehouse. To Dirk's surprise, Lee sees through him like a pane of glass and doesn't take any of his crap. Lee's determined to get Dirk to stop being a dick just to push everyone away. When their fighting turns to fucking, will the fireworks shine brightly on a possible relationship or leave them with nothing but ashes?

REVIEW
This was a well produced audiobooks with a narrator who brought life to the author's characters. Dirk, despite being a jerk, was developed so well that readers won't be able to resist feeling some compassion for him. Still, no one gets him as well as Lee who just might be a saint for putting up with Dirk at first. In true Andrew Gray fashion, the relationship develops logically and progresses naturally. It's a beautiful love story about two hunky fire fighters... and good news, this is only the beginning of the series!

Favorite Fireman Friday @laurendane #bookclub selection #review

April showers bring May flowers.  The weather is heating up and so are we!  Join us every day this week for our homage to hot, hunky fireman - who doesn't love a man in uniform?  The Indulgent Bloggers chose April as Fireman extravaganza - a week of assorted fireman stories so hot, you'll wish you had a sprinkler system!

Making Chase by Lauren Dane
Matt is an expert and the Chase is on. Tate doesn't stand a chance.

Tate Murphy is a girl from the wrong side of the tracks. She grew up a million miles away from the easy life Matt Chase has had. She's spent her life pulling herself and her siblings up and out of that trailer by the railroad tracks and she hasn't looked back.

Matt Chase is a dream of a guy and she's certainly not going to turn down a short fling with one of the most handsome men she's ever seen! Matt Chase has watched each one of his brothers find love and he knows he's ready for that too. It's all a matter of finding the woman who captures his heart. He's certainly sampled his fair share of them but none has moved him the way Tate Murphy does when he goes to her shop to thank her for some cookies and a thank you note.

But as Matt gets to know Tate and appreciate her strength and unique beauty, he also realizes she's got some big self esteem issues about her past. To build a future, he's got to find a way past some big road blocks.

Once again it's time to talk about firemen and once again I will share with you my favorite fireman book. For those of you that know me know that I love this series and there's always time for a re read every once and awhile. This series is so enjoyable because it's so believable. Small town living and family. All things I love. Although I'm fairly certain there are no Chase brothers in my town. LOL So, if for some insane reason you STILL have not read this series after I've raved about it for 3 years DO IT and while your at it thank a fireman for all they do:)

I give this book once again 5 chocolate dipped strawberries.

Seducing Simon by @maya_banks #Firemen #REVIEW

April showers bring May flowers. The weather is heating up and so are we! Join us every day this week for our homage to hot, hunky fireman - who doesn't love a man in uniform? The Indulgent Bloggers chose April as Fireman extravaganza - a week of assorted fireman stories so hot, you'll wish you had a sprinkler system!

Seducing Simon, Maya Banks, Samhain Publishing
One fateful night, Toni Langston seduces her best friend, the guy she's been in love with forever. Two problems-he doesn't remember a thing that happened and now she's pregnant. Toni Langston has been in love with Simon, her best friend, for years. The night Simon breaks up with his long time girlfriend, he and Toni make love. Toni is devastated and humiliated when, in the heat of the moment, he calls her by his girlfriend's name. The next morning, Simon remembers nothing of the previous night and Toni is only too relieved not to remind him. Two months later, she discovers she's pregnant. She wants Simon to love her, apart from any obligation he might feel because of the baby. So she embarks on a quest to seduce her best friend, to make him see her as more than a little sister, to make him love her as much as she loves him. It works. Maybe too well. Now when things are perfect, she faces telling him of the secret she's kept.

REVIEW
A big thanks for all that our fireman and emergency people do for our communities!

Toni has been in love with her roommate Simon for as long as she can remember. Unfortunately, he only sees her as a little sister. When Simon breaks up with his girlfriend and comes home intoxicated Toni takes advantage and sleeps with him. A couple of months later she is pregnant and he doesn’t remember their encounter.

Toni wants the dream package, family, house, kids, and most of all Simon. She feels awful for not telling him what happened and knows he would do the right thing because he really is a good guy, but wants him to love and be with her for her and not because of the baby. Simon starts to have feelings and fantasies about Toni but c’mon she’s pregnant, Matt’s little sister and his roommate. He doesn’t want to mess up their friendship and living arrangements.

I really enjoyed this book. Maya Banks has you getting involved with her characters whether you want to or not. It’s a quick fun read – even though I recommend you keep a few tissues close by.

The Fireman Who Loved Me, Jennifer Bernard

Book One of the Bachelor Firemen Novels

Fearless, smoking hot and single: meet the Bachelor Firemen of San Gabriel. These firemen might be heroes, but it's their bad luck in love that makes them legendary.

News producer Melissa McGuire and Fire Captain Harry Brody couldn't be more different, though they do have one thing in common: they're both convinced they're perfectly wrong for each other.

But when Melissa's matchmaking grandmother wins her a date with Brody at a bachelor auction... Sparks fly. Passion flares. Heat rises. (You get the picture.)

Add a curse, a conniving nightly news anchor, a stunningly handsome daredevil fireman, a brave little boy, a couple of exes, and one giant fire to the mix and Melissa and Brody's love may not be the only thing that burns.

BUY THE BOOK:   Amazon    Barnes & Noble

REVIEW:

Who knew turn out gear could be so sexy? Apparently, Jennifer Bernard does! Her debut novel and first in a delightful series, The Fireman Who Loved Me is a charming and funny story with a huge dollop of sexy romance hot enough to need a portable extinguisher. How can one not love a story that starts with a matchmaking Grandma hellbent on bringing her feisty granddaughter together with the Captain of a battalion of sexy firemen?

Melissa McGuire has been burned badly, learning that it is never wise to mix work and romance. Her grandmother orchestrates a set up for her from a charity bachelor auction. Captain Harry Brody is far from her usual type and yet, there is a spark neither can deny. And where there's smoke...there's fire!

As enjoyable as it is to watch the main characters bumble and stumble into love, the action in this story belongs to the crew at the fire house. San Gabriel's cursed bachelor firemen are the most fun cast of characters I've read in a while. These men, with their goofy names and big hearted camaraderie, save the dragging moments in the push and pull of Melissa and Brody romance.

Jennifer Bernard captures her readers with unique and appealing stories. The Fireman Who Loved Me is an enjoyable romance and a great kickoff to this series which only gets hotter!!

Hot Damn! Hot Head! #Audiobook #REVIEW @DamonSuede Sexy #Firemen!

The Indulgent Bloggers chose April as Fireman extravaganza - a week of assorted fireman stories so hot, you'll wish you had a sprinkler system!

Hot Damn! I listened to Hot Head (Head #1) by Damon Suede on audiobook. It should've come with a warning... something like "Contents May Be Hot When Turned On" because Charlie David, the narrator, took Suede's already steamy story and made it combustible.

BLURB
Where there's smoke there's fire. . .

Since 9/11, Brooklyn firefighter Griff Muir has wrestled with impossible feelings for his best friend and partner at Ladder 181: Dante Anastagio. Unfortunately Dante is strictly a ladies' man and the FDNY isn’t exactly gay-friendly. For 10 years, Griff has hidden his heart in a half-life of public heroics and private anguish.

Griff’s caution and Dante’s cockiness make them an unbeatable team. To protect his buddy, there’s nothing Griff wouldn’t do… until Dante is nearly bankrupt and proposes the worst possible solution: HotHead.com, a gay-porn website where uniformed hunks get down-n-dirty… Now Dante wants them to appear there— together.

Griff may have to guard his heart and live out his darkest fantasies on camera. Can he rescue the man he loves without wrecking their careers, their families, or their friendship?

REVIEW
There are thousands of reviews out there for this book so nothing I could say would be new but I just had to give this audiobook specifically a shout out (and 5 chocolate-dipped strawberries) because it is now on my favorites shelf.

The friendship and camaraderie, the emotional -but not overly angsty- struggle, the personal discovery, the connections and secondary characters, and of course the love between these two men... all of these things melded together to create the perfect story. Then there's the sex... my, oh my, the chemistry was unreal. Who needs one fireman when you can have two? Just be careful... do not operate heavy machinery while listening to Hot Head on audiobook!

On Fire by Drew Zachary @torquere #REVIEW #FIREMEN

April showers bring May flowers.  The weather is heating up and so are we!  Join us every day this week for our homage to hot, hunky fireman - who doesn't love a man in uniform?  The Indulgent Bloggers chose April as Fireman extravaganza - a week of assorted fireman stories so hot, you'll wish you had a sprinkler system!

On Fire, Drew Zachary, Torquere Press
On Fire #1
Take one tall, broad-shouldered fireman in his early thirties. Mix well with one skinny, eighteen-year-old college kid who lives for sex, and the results are sheer pleasure. Sam and Robert are about as opposite as you can get, aside from the fact that they're both into sex with guys. When Sam picks Robert up during Canada Day festivities, neither of them are expecting more than making some fireworks for the holiday. And the sparks definitely fly, especially since Sam is able to recharge his batteries as only an eighteen year old can. Robert finds himself both entranced and smitten with young Sam, who is bubbly and happy and can have more sex in the space of an hour than Robert can believe. But there's a world of difference between eighteen and thirty-two, as Sam and Robert discover along the way. Friends and family add to the difficulties they encounter. But the two of them come to realize that underneath it all, they have more than just a physical need for each other. The emotion that blossoms between them is soon as great as their first sizzling attraction. Drew Zachary, the author of Transforming Hades and Skin Deep, has written a romance as hot as the flame it's named after. Don't miss it!
REVIEW:
This was exactly what I was looking for for Firemen week. Two hot guys who scorched my Nook!

Sam is a college student who likes his hook ups quick and dirty. While walking around at Canada Day he thinks he has found Nirvana when he stumbles onto the firemen car wash. Let's face it there is nothing hotter than a wet fireman. When Sam spots Robert he almost blows right there.

Robert literally bumps into the hottest twink on two legs while finishing up his shift at the fireman car wash, now if he can just get sex on a stick Sam home before they are both arrested for public indecency it will be a miracle.

What starts out as just hot no-strings attached sex turns out to be so much more for both men. Sam and Robert are good now they just have to convince Sam's over-protective dad that Robert isn't a pervert and Roberts co-works that Sam isn't just using Robert, and everything will be good.

This book ended up being so much more than I thought when I started it. The development of the relationship while starting out quickly really takes time to develop. It was a great quick read and I for one was very happy to see there is a sequel.

If you like your stories HOT HOT HOT then On Fire is the book for you!

Thanks for the suggestion Cardeno!

Take It Off with @cambriahebert #REVIEW

Torch (Take It Off #1) by Cambria Hebert just might set readers on fire.
If you can’t take the heat… stay away from the flame.

Katie Parks has been on her own since the age of fifteen. All she’s ever wanted is a place to call her own—a life that is wholly hers that no one can take away. She thought she finally had it, but with the strike of a single match, everything she worked so hard for is reduced to a pile of smoking ash. And she almost is too.

Now she’s being stalked by someone who’s decided it’s her time to die. The only thing standing in the path of her blazing death is sexy firefighter Holt Arkain.

Katie’s body might be safe with Holt… but her heart is another story.

As the danger heats up, sparks fly and the only thing Katie knows for sure is that her whole life is about to go up in flames.

REVIEW
Torch was a sweet love story between two people meant for one another. When Holt pulls Katie from the fire, there's this instant connection which leads him to caring for her when she gets out of the hospital. I enjoyed the fun banter and cute humor between these two characters. Their connection was sweet, tender - they were obviously two very nice, ordinary people. You don't get to read about those types of characters often so I enjoyed that.

But... the suspense subplot -someone trying to kill Katie- didn't feel authentic. Katie didn't seemed concerned enough. I mean, if I had been burning in a fire, you better believe I'd be freaked out. Where were the police? Shouldn't they offer protection? It felt as if this was the area of the book that could use more development. It would even bring the book from good to great if this story line has been fleshed out more. Arson, attempted hit and run, exploding cars and kidnapping should just be more suspenseful.

The love story in this book though is sweet. I adored how Holt took care of Katie since this poor woman couldn't catch a break. She needed someone and he was her someone. It just felt good.
