NEW RELEASE #REVIEWS! Here & Now Series @WriterLexiRyan #GIVEAWAY

I love LOVE TRIANGLES. And so does Lexi Ryan apparently because that's what her latest series is all about. It's awesome! My reviews of he first two books are below. If you haven't started the series yet, you are in luck because the first book *LOST IN ME* is now available for just $0.99.

What Lexi Says...
What If You Had to Choose? Why I Heart Love Triangles

I am so incredibly lucky. I get to spend my days writing down the stories in my head—pretty much my favorite thing to do—and then people read them and write me to let me know what they thought. After Lost in Me, Book 1 of the Here and Now Series, released, the comment I heard the most was some variation of, “I usually hate love triangles, but…” To say I made you enjoy a trope that you usually dislike, is a huge compliment, so thank you!

But personally? I freaking FLOVE love triangles! I’m addicted. My favorite movies and books all seem to be love triangles. Sometimes the “better guy” is obvious and sometimes he’s not. Sometimes there’s a love triangle and the third party isn’t even around—maybe he’s dead or overseas—but that doesn’t change the heart of what makes a love triangle story work.

Here are a few of my favorite love triangle movies:

While You Were Sleeping? How can you resist the whole forbidden chemistry with the (supposed) fiancĂ©’s brother? The conflict is built in and everyone loves Jack and wants her to end up with him, but he’s such a freaking good guy, he’s not going to do anything to get in the way of what he thinks she wants.

She asks, “Can you give me any reason why I shouldn't marry your brother?”
And my heart just tears into two when he says, “Oh... I can't.”

Love Actually? If there’s a scene that inspires belly butterflies more than the scene where he comes to the door with those signs, I haven’t seen it! The selflessness of the guy who lets go so the girl can move on is super hot. If you haven’t seen it, here’s what the signs say:

With any luck, by next year - I'll be going out with one of these girls. [shows pictures of hot models] But for now, let me say - Without hope or agenda - Just because it's Christmas - And at Christmas you tell the truth - To me, you are perfect - And my wasted heart will love you - Until you look like this. [shows picture of a mummy] Merry Christmas.

And come on…Twilight? That whole series was 400-times more addictive because of the whole Bella-Edward-Jacob thing. (And, confession, I was totally Team Jacob, but that’s a post for another day.)

Two amazing guys in love with the heroine? Yes, please.
All of the naughty forbidden chemistry? Yes, please.
The angsty gut tugging of not knowing how she’s going to choose? Yeah. I’m all over that.

So…love triangles. Love ’em or hate ’em?

About Lexi
Once a college English professor, I now write full time. I live in rural Indiana, where, when I’m not writing, I get to hang out with my husband and two kids–a six-year-old boy and a two-year-old hellion, er, girl. Not surprisingly, reading and writing remain my favorite activities, though both come in bits and pieces these days, not the big hunks of time I enjoyed before I had children. When I’m feeling virtuous, I like to go running (I use that word liberally. I’m really, really slow) or do yoga. Don’t worry, I’m always careful to balance out such activities with a hearty serving of ice cream or a chocolate martini.

New Release!
FALL TO YOU
Here and Now #2
Torn between the man she’s always wanted and the man she can’t remember…and yet can’t let go.
This is NOT a standalone novel.

REVIEW
I dove right into Fall To You as soon as I finished Lost In Me. I was hooked after book one, completely invested in the characters. Since the series, and the one before it, surrounds a family of sisters and their friends in a small community, readers already feel as if we know the characters. With each book, we learn more about them since the author involves the secondary characters often despite Here And Now being  focused on Hanna and her love triangle.

I admit to swaying one way after reading book one #TEAMnate v #TEAMmax but then the author turns it around and the empathy I develop for both male lead characters in this book makes me understand better just why Hanna is caught up the way she is. The emotions that come out are powerful, real and push readers to become cheerleaders for Hanna. So, Hanna, whatever you choose, I'm #TEAMhanna all the way!

*Whew! I made it through the review without any spoilers! I need a drink... that wasn't easy!?*

 LOST IN ME
Here and Now #1
LOST IN ME is the first book in the Here and Now series, a spin-off of the New York Times and USA Today bestselling New Hope series. This sexy amnesia love triangle is intended for mature readers. LOST IN ME is not a standalone novel.

The last thing I remember is having drinks at Brady’s and trying to avoid eye-contact with my life-long crush—the gorgeous, unattainable Maximilian Hallowell. They tell me that was a year ago, but I have no memories of anything since then. What I do have is this ring on my finger that Max says he gave me, and this much-thinner body I’ve dreamed of most of my life. Aside from a case of retrograde amnesia, everything seems almost…perfect.

But the deeper I immerse myself into this new world of mine—planning a wedding to a man I don’t remember dating, attempting to run a business I don’t remember starting—the clearer it becomes that nothing is as it seems. Do I have the life I’ve always wanted or is it a facade propped up by secrets I don’t even know I have?

I need answers before I marry Max, and the only person who seems to have them is the angry, tatted, sexy-as-sin rocker Nate Crane. And Nate wants me for himself.

REVIEW
Lost In Me is the first story in the Here and Now series, which takes off from the New Hope series. I've been hooked on this family of sisters since UnBreak Me, the very first book in that series. I enjoy the author's voice and her ability to create rich characters with plots that are anything but predictable. Readers are guessing the whole time as we follow the path these characters take. Their connections solidify the stories, providing this strong foundation upon which the author builds romantic tales of love.

Lost In Me drops us into Hanna's world just as she wakes up from an accident which leaves her charting a path to reclaim her past, searching for memories that lead her to her future. The format of flash backs to current day are done with precision so it enhances the story without confusing readers. You've to read this - and then have the next book loaded and ready because the ending will leave you craving the next book. Consider yourself warned.
