South of the Border

This short story from Laura Baumbach is HOT, HOT, HOT! It made me want to go out and buy the next book featuring Gabriel and Antonio, so if that was its purpose, it succeeded. The story starts in the hot tub with Gabriel, who during a recent undercover assignment was blinded when a bag of heroin exploded in his face. After being forced to leave his job on the San Francisco police force because of his blindness, he finds comfort in the arms of his lover Antonio. Before Antonio has to leave on another assignment, the men come together for some heated, wet loving. I was amazed at the depth of the characters and their feelings that the author was able to convey in such a short time and look forward to reading more from this series. I give South of the Border 5 chocolate dipped strawberries. This review originally written for The Romance Reviews. http://www.theromancereviews.com/viewbooksreview.php?bookid=1447
