Vanessa Vale does historical erotica good. If you are looking for a spicy hot story, this series does not disappoint. Set in a fictional town with unusual marital practices, this spicy tale is heat inducing! With more subservient women of that time period, the premise was easy to accept.
This book was lacking as much detail on the woman's transition to married life that were included in the first book and it felt a bit rushed... but it was still sexy, sexy, sexy.
The narrators were the best yet in the series. I still didn't like the way the male spoke - he wasn't believable, almost awkward with the words. But it still worked okay.
If you aren't afraid of erotica and are looking for a spicy audio book, Dominating Devney is a good choice. Its quick, spicy and oh so good. But I'd start with book one since there's references to the other characters throughout the book.
