Please join us in welcoming Bella Andre to the blog today. Tomorrow and Tuesday we will be featuring her wonderful Wildland Firefighter "Hot Shots" Series.  Until them please enjoy this guest post from one of our favorite very talented authors!

From a Pro Football players, to a charming family, to a group of super hot Fire Fighters – where do you get your inspiration for a new series and it’s characters?

Good question! Well, you might have noticed I have a thing for Bad Boys. :) Especially super hot, super rich, super talented ones! So professional football players were easy to get excited about. And the allure of firefighters is that they will risk everything to save people - especially the women they love. That's so yummy to me! And then with my Sullivan family, I absolutely love the dynamic of eight siblings who are always there for each other. I'm not exactly sure when or where each idea came, but I sure am glad I get to write about all of them!

The first two books in the Hot Shots series have the characters going on quite an exciting, action packed adventure journey. Is it more challenging to write about action versus Connor’s emotional journey in book three?

When I wrote the first two Hot Shots books I was surprised to realize just how much I loved writing action scenes. I don't write them very often in the rest of my books, but I always enjoy it when one fits into the plot. (For example, the first chapter in CAN'T HELP FALLING IN LOVE: The Sullivans #3 is a firefighting scene with a lot of action. I just can't get enough of firefighters!) At the same time, I love sinking in deep to the emotional scenes in my books. I sit there and cry along with the characters as I'm typing. And I love every second of it!

When do you do the majority of your writing, during the day, at night?

Morning, afternoon, and evening. Seriously, I write pretty much all the time. I just get so excited about the couple I'm writing about, they tend to become a bit of an obsession for me. Right now, however, since it's summer, I'm trying to play a bit more in the nice weather, so most of my writing is happening between 7 am and 5 pm.

Who helped with your research?

I have read every firefighting memoir written, along with every book on wildland firefighting - plus books written by wives of firefighters to get their view of the life as well. I also had a firefighter and a dispatcher read the books. And my husband was a firefighter!

Can you give us any hints on what you have planned next?

My 6th Sullivan book about Ryan will be released this fall! I've been so thrilled by how many people have found my Sullivans and then gone back to read everything else I've written. It was a dream come true when IF YOU WERE MINE (The Sullivans #5) hit the USA Today list a few weeks ago!

Which character was your favorite to write about?

All of them! I swear it's true. :) I love my bad boys and my firefighters and my Sullivans and Travis and Luke from Take Me (I could go on all night, so I'll stop now....)

What's your guilty indulgence?

I *LOVE* to read. All the time. Nothing to feel guilty about, but definitely an indulgence considering how much writing of my own books I need to be doing!
