Fire it up Friday

WHAT A WEEK. Two full days of basketball, one all day soccer tournament and then soccer camp during the day and basketball camp at night. Defiantly tested my organizational skills but I made it and will reward myself for it this weekend. In the very limited amount of reading time that I had this is what I squeezed in...

Twice Tempted by Jeaniene Frost

Dating the Prince of Darkness has its challenges
Leila’s psychic abilities have been failing her, and now she isn’t sure what the future holds. If that weren’t enough, her lover Vlad has been acting distant. Though Leila is a mere mortal, she’s also a modern woman who refuses to accept the cold shoulder treatment forever–especially from the darkly handsome vampire who still won’t admit that he loves her . . .
Like choosing between eternal love and a loveless eternity
Soon circumstances send Leila back to the carnival circuit, where tragedy strikes. And when she finds herself in the crosshairs of a killer who may be closer than she realizes, Leila must decide who to trust– the fiery vampire who arouses her passions like no other or the tortured knight who longs to be more than a friend? With danger stalking her every step of the way, all it takes is one wrong move to damn her for eternity . . .

I had forgotten how much I love/hate Vlad. He's such an ass but I find it hard to stay mad at him. He's extremely blunt and OLD school. Sometimes I don't think he means to come off so harsh and then there's the times when he is just being an ass. Plus you have to understand that you're human in a vampire world and things aren't the same. But how can you stay mad at a man that buys you an amazing gown with matching shoes, puts a toilet in his on suite bathroom for you and has a rotating closet???? I got a tad aggravated with Leila because she always assumed Vlad was trying to push her away. Believe it or not sometimes he was just trying to do the right thing. Most people that will read this will probably think Vlad as a jerk but I'm one to find the good no matter how small the jester (it's a fault I know) besides he has a mock-you-with -my-superiority laugh and I so want one of those. If you have a spot in your to be read list you will want to fill it in with this and if you're familiar with Cat and Bones then what are you waiting for???

I give this book 4 chocolate dipped strawberries and fire extinguisher,
PEACE
